Hi, I was just wondering if this can still be done in the current MHR? I'm trying to imitate what you've been doing in the video, but I get animation locked during the counters. So I'm thinking it might be because of some changes Capcom added, but having confirmation would probably be ideal.

What’s your queue for countering the risen explosion? I always miss it. I don’t know what to look for.

Not OP, but personally, it's a mix of getting used to the timing and when Shaggy starts to get up into the standing pose. At around 3:09, you can see him release ISS right after Shaggy raises. That's the queue I use for most counters.

Agreed with Fantee, you need to look for right when it goes to stand up on it hind legs. Counter as soon as you see it.

Great run! Risen Shagaru Magala is my favorite fight in the game have you done this speedrun in special investigations? Have a set wit 3 heaven sent, 3 powder mantle, 3 frostcraft and 1 wind mantle and a talisman 5 dragonheart, 3 stun resistance and 2-2-2 slots. No mods 4-5 hrs and around 3000 tries.

Yeah I don´t really know either if its legit. Looks a lot like a auto dodge mod. Most of the time the counters dont look prepared and just like auto.
