Unpopular opinion: (and this is NOT a knock on the video, which is very well done, or even this game in particular, which is also reasonably well done compared to its peers) modern FPS multiplayers end up looking like crap when viewed like this, because the people simply do NOT move like people. Probably the biggest transgression is the ridiculous lack of inertia most things have, *especially* people running. They totally give away what they are every time they do yet another instantaneous, physically impossible direction change: massless entities in a video game. This makes leading shots, or getting hits absolutely nothing like actually shooting at a real moving target (luckily your gun has no inertia either I guess) Some other standard war/infantry - based FPS crimes which can be remedied and could affect immersion, in no particular order: - Upon character death, weapons instantly 'split' from the character and become separate objects, while suddenly losing all inertia, dropping vertically to the ground. R6 Siege is another one where this can very easily be seen, but it's common. - Weirdly odd death animations/ragdolls, all momentum is suddenly lost. - Insanely fast movement speed of players, nothing like real soldiers in combat. I guess we'd all get bored jogging around maybe? Still, it looks crazy when viewed like this IMHO. - Weapons have no inertia - incredibly heavy to carry MG's are flung around like they're feathers etc. I know, they're games........and this isn't a serious rant (these things don't really bother me in game), but when viewed with a cinematic flair like this, it's kind of glaring. I'm not asking for perfect physics and 100% real simulation, but it's a pity these games tend to end up as a massive sprint-around simulation with feather-light 'people' rather than a better representation of actual combat. /unpopular mumblings. hf!

@Dennell_Mount_and_Blade6 жыл бұрын
Most of those things you mention are done pretty good in this game, better than any other game I've seen so far. Carrying objects like RPG and machinegun DOES make you slower, and the author of this video had more shots of people running/sprinting, but thats his choice, you can't sprint too long in this game (unless you're charging with bayonet, but if you stop your aim is shaky and you have to catch breath), mostly people are indeed jogging or just walking or crawling. I suggest you give it a try.
