Conrad Maguire yeah it was actually a pretty well made flight model and I’ve seen some people that take the time to learn it, master it in very realistic ways and in ways it’s very similar to rs2s flight models except slightly lighter

as an infantry player on the ground, I'm sorry I don't think killing enemy is the "Effective Way" cobra should do, or at least not the best. one of the key to victory in any supremacy map(in fact also in hill) is delay enemy spawn and reinforce. that is destroy VC tunnel for US side and kill SL for vietnam side. it is true you can help your team by kill enemy, however the cooperation between loach and cobra to spot and destroy enemy tunnel is the best way combat pilots could help the team, and wat I call it effective way. lets take songbe as example, when VC got tunnel near E and F, thats really pain in the ass for us

Thats true this was my first touch to this game and you can clearly see that most of those kills were teamkills. And i totally agree with you that tunnels are way important to take out instead of killing infantry on the flags

unfortunately we still got so many pilots and cmdrs only care about how many kills they got. I understand thats important for ones personal game experience though. it is also sad we only got handful players still in this game :(

Dude, the quality of these videos is amazing. Gameplay and piloting reminded me of reading Helo pilots books on Vietnam, and the crazy shit they were able to pull off flying these things... This game does a great job on this time period.

flexmethodable I used to play lots of planetside 2, and a lot of my flying skill transferred over to this game (air vehicles in planetside 2 behave like a vtol, and for experienced pilots we would “stick” to one area and fly very precisely as we had to kill infantry with just machine guns). Within 15 minutes of piloting during the free weekend, one of my gunners told me I was a really good pilot. Anyways, I just bought the game last week. I’m looking forward to doing some flying 👍.

Mainwhile, my landings are just me landing on the hueys side, pretty much everyone who is on is injured in the crash landing, the main rotor destroyed, and also infront of the entire population of Vietnam. Yeah, I'm not a very good pilot.

I usually find that for the Cobra, popping up to saturate enemy positions with fire and breaking off to one side before flying over the enemy is usually the best bet. Also, the chain gun is very good for sniping squad tunnels once marked by the Loach. All this lax flying at 20 meters makes you a much easier target for RPGs.

Landings are a little slow. If you keep your speed high and turn the altitude throttle to 0 while doing a full 180 turn, you can land pretty accurately, softly and extremely quickly, and then run off quickly before an RPG can target you.

The most effective way to use them tactically, in supremacy, would be to have a squad as a Quick Reaction Force. Meaning when a point is under attack the squad can be flown in quickly and supplement the defense. Also they could be used to hit lightly defended enemy points. In supremacy it’s hard to have enough troops defending and attacking so a QRF would be a great way to utilize a Huey a squad.

Jake Anthony except it doesn't work like that in this game. Because landing on a point or near one means a single infantry with a lmg, ppsh, rpg, or passable aim will kill the entire squad.

Hey you're a great pilot, fantastic smooth flying. However i couldn't help but notice how many teammates you were killing in your chopper, more teammates than enemies were killed! An effective pilot needs to be monitoring the map for friendlies. After-all, your job is to support them. Nice video, really liked the music with the seemingly effortless flying.

I think you're mistaken. Advanced doesn't have the automatic throttle/collective. The way the collective is moving up and down heavily implies it's set to simple controls. It appears way easier too, I might use it.

The pilot is fine for transport helicopters, but here on the combat helicopter constantly makes mistakes - long turns after the detection of the enemy, shoots all the time in the middle of the village, does not cooperate with the infantry. But it does well out of the attack with a decrease. One thing is not clear, why do not they use the "carousel"?
