Rit Dye & spray paint, ACU surplus gear.

The first 4 minutes is a table top discussion. At 4:15 I start a video tutorial for of each step.
Outfit yourself for pennies, or supply an “airsoft” army on a working man’s budget.
Apple green, dark green, dark brown, Rit Dye
Dark green, dark brown, and sand Rustolium spray paint.
Mix salt, vinegar, dish soap, boiling water, and Rit Dye into a tub. Toss in your gear, mix it up for a few minutes, then let it sit 1-2 hours. Rinse it out, let it dry, spray paint it.

Careful guys. Be ready to pull items out of the dye as soon as you like the color. I had some nice M60 pouches sit a little too long in dark brown rit dye and they look solid purple now.

That’s odd, I’ve had stuff sit for couple hours no issue like that.

@@GWOTalchem I assume it was because I was using the polyester/ synthetic formula but it happened really fast too. I did it on the stove at a simmer with maybe a 1/4 cup of salt and what I thought was about a palm full of dish soap. I have a DFLCS in ABU to do in a few months. If I somehow remember, I’ll post my formula for ranger green here and tell how it worked out.

Rit dye certainly works wonders, especially for those awful acu's, kinda makes the look like Russian digital flora though.😂
