After his departure from Deep Purple in 1993, Ritchie Blackmore reformed Rainbow with a new line-up and went into the studio to record the acclaimed "Stranger In Us All" album. The band then took to the road for an extensive tour which included this 1995 live concert in Dusseldorf filmed for Germany's famous Rockpalast TV series. The set features several tracks from the "Stranger In Us All" album alongside classic Rainbow and Deep Purple tracks. The band is in blistering form and Ritchie Blackmore shows just why he is so revered as a guitarist. This previously unreleased show is a great addition to any Rainbow fan's collection.

На мой скромный взгляд, один из самых совершенных шедевров Ричи Блэкмора, для меня не уступающий его лучшим песням в Deep Purple или первых альбомах Rainbow (Strangers in Us All - вообще мой любимый альбом Rainbow, думаю, что из-за атмосферы, в ней идеально схвачено что-то такое мистическое, готическое). Бесконечно могу переслушивать. Мне сейчас 20, очень жалею, что никто из моих ровесников и друзей не знает Блэкмора, но для меня он лучший! Уверен, что его музыка будет жить вечно, так как у неё всегда будут поклонники!

С детства слушаю рок музыку. Покойный отец когда мне было 8 лет привил во мне любовь к рок музыке. Помню первую виниловую ластинку которую отец купил это был Элвис Пресли. exactly. some says yngwie is the best the fastest etc but I can names some of guitarist that perfectly imitate yngwie (joe stump, bellas etc), ritchie seems to play relaxly but no one able to imitate him since 1970s.....there is something in his play that unreachable to others....

This whole gig was fantastic guitar playing wise especially. Ritchie truly was inspired and was actually playing his solos live. I love ritchie but i think that live usually he tends to be a bit too erratic when it comes to his solo playing, often filling his solo playing with a bunch of noise and whammy bar stuff that really isn't my cup of tea. Here while still being incredibly virtuosistic, it was coherent, if that makes any sense.
