I've read on multiple forums that genes of the same type but different sizes do NOT stack. So Critical (S) won't stack with Critical (M), for example. Rather, the game will just apply the buff from the largest size. Cotton suggests that works in this video, though. Anyone done testing to figure this out?

same here, but I've done some research when I stack Might L and M it didnt really increase the non elem attack when I upgrade M into 1 star Meanwhile Iron wall gene M (no other stack)keep increasing my non elem defs every time I upgrade it Can someone confirm this?

@@setsuna5919 I tested out health boost small and health boost medium. I used a monstie originally having health boost medium and put health boost small on it too. There was no change. It's safe to assume that the multiple sizes don't stack.

Still only on area 3 but my Anjanath is almost fully decks out with fire/strength genes and it’s amazing. Just waiting for better versions of these genes to increase the star rate/replace and some other abilities to add to it.

One monstie I've been exited to get since their announcement was Velkhana, I've never played World but I love it's design since it feels similar to the Monster Hunter Online exclusive Elder Dragons. I was hoping to be able to mix it to be an Ice/Thunder monstie but after the revelation of how this game handles multitype monsties, I've been thinking of making it a pure Ice powerhouse instead. For now however I need to progress through the story, I've just gotten to the 4th area and I assume I have a long way to go before I can even start farming it's nests.

When i heard stories 2 will come out i got one thing in mind, and i hold it till the release - Electric Mizutsune. Few days before it i almost couldnt contain myself, thinking about elevtric soulsear. And whey somehow fucked it all up. Dont really onderstand why whey did it to channeling, i mean - new genes system is just absolutely great - so much customization. Whyle new rite is... why? There is few things i would tweak, howether the color of the monstie thing i think is just a mistake on the developer part - probably stats should be first cheked for upgrades from genes, and WHEN upgrade when the monster levels up, but somebody forgot to turn this on - and now it upgrades stats regardless of the genes. Hope it will be patched soon

It's not gonna get patched. The developers said that they're not doing the element changing in the game. Whatever is currently in the game was scrapped. So that's all were gonna get until its completely removed.
