Amazement is an infantile state of being which is rooted in ignorance, not sure if that's something any human being should cultivate. Only kids are allowed to be deprived of knowledge, for grown ups that's a waste of oxygen. Ignorance is a bliss to those who can't carry the power of knowledge; if you could carry it, you would probably find fulfillment in the realization of the fact that you are capable of knowing the mechanism behind phenomenon's, and that's actually 'amazing'

The people saying Dani knows which card the spectator will say are wrong, the first time Dani finds out the card value is when the spectator says it out loud. He doesn't know which _specific_ card will be named, what he knows is how to get that card into the right place during the shuffling ritual. He's essentially stacking the deck without ever having seen a single card, and without touching any of them, because he knows the position of the card before the ritual starts. Think of it this way, if you let a spectator choose a random card from the deck without you seeing it, and then you tell them to put it on top of the deck, then you know the position of the card without knowing the value, and you can then use a false shuffle or some other sleight of hand to position that card anywhere you like without ever having seen it. Dani is essentially doing the same thing, except he does it in the most ingenious and impossible seeming way, by having the spectators do all the handling. Remember that he already knows the position he's aiming for before the ritual starts, because the person who chooses the position says it out loud.
@AkatsukiAyano6 күн бұрын
@@sfdntkif you watch the video back, he isn't told the position until after the ritual. However, he does say a number himself, which could be a way to force the spectator to think that number themselves, especially because everything is happening so fast.

But he never knows the card chosen until it is the next card to be dealt by the participant?
@monodescarado2 жыл бұрын
@@Secret666 Yup, but he doesn't need to. He just needs to know the number. There's a move after that. Other than that, I think there's some clever cuts/gimmicks at the beginning and some very fast calculations during the 'ritual' to get that number to line up. Don't get me wrong, I still haven't worked it out fully - there's too much happening and a couple of small things I'm missing. But I love how the one move is in plain sight but gets completely missed because of the chaotic nature.

@@monodescarado Not sure I'm following here? He doesn't touch the deck after finding out the chosen card so would not be able to plant the card or manipulate it's position?
@monodescarado2 жыл бұрын
@@Secret666 Right. The fact that he doesn't touch the cards once the ritual starts tells us a lot of information: it tells us that the card is unimportant. It's the position of the card that matters, which he manipulates into the right spot with one move and a lot of mental acrobatics. The card is not important: the number chosen by the spectator is important. And he does touch cards once that number has been declared.
@Secret6662 жыл бұрын
@@monodescarado I appreciate you trying to guide me to seeing the method but I'm finding it very hard to get past the fact that he manipulates the position of the card before knowing the card it self. @fanrco7662 жыл бұрын
I imagine our "thinker" has a handful of them. Theres a subtle difference in the way ortiz talks to him than everyone else. @@TrochiTV I highly doubt it is a standard deck. Im guessing there is enough 6es so he can hand the "thinker" a full hand of 6es. if you look carefully, he breaks the deck up in such a way where he only gives that guy a small amount of cards (maybe 5-7?) . I imagine those are all 6es of hearts.

@@JVDColin How can you say that with full confidence? Just logically this trick doesn't work if the guy on the left doesn't see a 6 of hearts when he checks his cards. @davebaconusa10622 жыл бұрын
What's are the odds that this guy, and Penn from the other segment, both chose 21? I don't think that's coincidence at all, not for a magician at least. Notice Dani actually prompts it at 0:53 saying, "[think of a number] very high, maybe between one and twenty one twenty"; this is called Neuro-Linguistic Programming. So, a high number out of 52 would not be 21, but a high number out of 20-- or 21, which is what he Actually said-- would most likely produce the "21" he wanted. It's not absolutely necessary to make the trick work, it just makes it easier for Dani to... count the cards while he suggests each set of numbers for the packets being "shuffled". Ta-da!
