I saw this song live in Sacramento when they opened for Greta Van Fleet and was completely blown away at the lead singer's depth and pitch control. This type of talent is not typical. Easily one of the best live performances I have ever seen in person.

@@Marenrick I’ve seen Greta Van Fleet twice now and they don’t impress me anymore. They sound nothing like on the album and they whole thing with the outfits it a fit much. Also every woman at the show was screaming the entire time during their set. The Rival Sons played a tight and better set they sound just like how they do on their albums and they cemented themselves to me as one of the greatest modern rock bands

I met Rival Sons when I was listening to random Spotify playlists. The first song that i listening was Back In The Woods from their 2019 album Feral Roots. Needless to say, when I found a band with that more blues rock and rock'n'roll sound, I became instant fan. I didn't experience the heyday of various rock styles that came out in the previous century, as I was only born in 1999 and am only 23 years old, but I have always liked bands with an older sound. I am glad to know that the band has only been around since 2009. I excited with the release of this Darkfighter. Greetings from Portugal🟢🟢🟢🔴🔴🔴🤘🤘🤘

Caught them back in 2019, they were opening for Slash in the Montreux jazz festival. Didn't have the pleasure of listening any of their songs prior to that. Instantly fell in love with them! It’s been a rollercoaster ride. I can see light at the end tunnel. But it has been real tough this past couple months. And that line is giving the motivation to keep pushing.

Quite the contrary. I recently discovered this band and have been extremely disappointed. It is clear to me now why the Chevy Silverado commercial chose to use just a small portion of their song Pressure and Time. After spending considerable time to discover the song used in the commercial I was disappointed greatly by listening to it in its entirety. The guitar player in this band, who is a professional musician, refuses to even attempt virtuosic guitar work. I will be listening to renaissance lute music as a much-needed palette cleanser after hearing this latest track.

Just for reference, do you also dislike the Stone Temple Pilots? All-time great band. Not too many, if any, virtuosic solos put down on tape in their history, but Dean Deleo's widely considered a creative genius in terms of his unique chord selection, melody choices, and songwriting. The song is what matters most...in my opinion. Anyhow, the Rival Sons are really evolving and if you didn't listen to Feral Roots and only looked at Pressure and Time, you're not getting the full picture. I dig P&T but it's more purely derivative where the Rival Sons latest stuff has sounded more unique and varied.

@@mattmartin3711I don’t mind long solos, but I mainly appreciate virtuosic playing style in the smaller moments. Sometimes intentional sloppiness is tasteful but I think that’s a rare occurrence. The reason I am disappointed with this particular band is that in the songs I’ve listened to, I initially enjoy their simplistic, yet Zeppelin-like riffs, but the magic quickly fades as the songs go on, mainly due to what I consider glaring missed opportunities and excessive sloppiness by the guitarist. I think Stone Temple Pilots are a more coherent and better band, although still not my preferred style of rock.
