Quality Video James, shame about the wind! My favourite style of angling and all without another angler in sight-perfect! Really looking forward to the next one.

Growing up I used to see big carp in a very small river near my house. I started fishing for them after a few years, landing a few fish, including an incredible 26lb common. I havent fished for a few years, but theres a big mirror down there that i want. would think it would push 30. This video inspired me to go back and start having a go again!

Keep doing these videos. Or at least keep taking different people fishing with you to learn. You're a great fisherman... Great hook and hold at 9:25. A well set trap. "Job done. Fish in the net. Proper buzzed!!"

Good video, a refreshing change and a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to the next one. What rods were you using in the film?
@carpjunky48478 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much for the positive vibes mate! They were Torrix TE 12ft 6 3 - 5oz casting weight. Not ideal for a tiny river, but they do the job perfectly as you can see.

Nice vid, I fished rivers and no fishing lakes ressies for over 25 years , you never know what will be on the end when the rod Rips off. Never into fishing for carp hounded day in day out

Awesome fishing nicely done man. Can I ask you a couple questions? Why did you choose that area to prebait (reeds)? -did you know fish would visit or was it a less obvious spot for other anglers? Did the carp hold in 1 stretch of the river or did they explore further up ect? Many thanks if you get time to reply
@carpjunky48476 жыл бұрын
It was a mixture of both. There were no anglers fishing this stretch and there were an abundance of carp present.

nice and close quarters stuff..you lucky you only have to wait upto 4 hours for a bite..my way its harder then that for the wile carp..iv had em over 20 big wild long commons..

MIKE BLAKE it was sweetcorn not maize and unprepared maize won't kill fish
@Mark-hh4ko7 жыл бұрын
He knows what he is doing when it comes to bait buddy, and just to let you know unprepared maize will not harm fish, fish farmers in France and holland feed there fish with tons of it and in 6 years off fish farming I never saw a fish harmed or killed from unprepared maize
