I LOVE creek and river fishing! We've been hitting them hard this year! It's weird seeing people catch fish in a creek that aren't Smallmouth. Course I'm from Pennsylvania. I think I only once in my life that I see a largemouth in a river. I know you're catching spots but you get what I'm saying

yep love my creek fishing behind the house. take my truck to town boat ramp , go back home hook up my yak to the golf cart , cruise on down to the creek . and have a 15 plus mile trip. catch from lg mouth , too striper , but gar and gators too. always keep the folding saw in the yak to cut fallen trees etc. and its not uncommon to catch 5-8 lb lg mouth. and never see a person.
