River Kennet Barbel Fishing - Double figure Delight! (Video 232)

How do Ladies and Gents. I am still catching up on the many videos which I am editing away at!
You Join me once again on another barbel trip on the River Kennet, this time in late July on a cloudy evening as I head out for a late evening into darkness trip with the little Angling Direct River Ambush rod. Ever hopeful of a barbel to put a healthy bend in this little rod!
Tackle
Rvs river ambush rod 1.75
Shimano baitrunner reel
Bait - Mainline 50/50 mix and paste made with my own choice
of liquid foods/ yeast meaty/fishy mix
Groundbait - some broken boilies and paste

amazing mark great fish,,,,funny how warm it has been.... we are flooded here in Warwickshire again river up in the fields a few days back now its just below the top of the bank so no fishing there just yet needs to go down... when it fines down work permitting a chance soon .that is a cracking river mark huge fish in a small river perfect .do you ever catch them on meat ...well mark until your next adventure down on the river tight lines.

Nice one Mark. I've been having a few on the Thames in Oxford up until a few weeks ago when I broke my pb then for some reason I've been unable to motivate myself. Think the answer is some different species. Again a lovely fish, tightlines.

Steve That is a nice chunky cheap and cheerful NGT net head think it is 29 inch and it has so far not let me down.

What an incredible fish Mark 👌🎣 were you using a shorter than normal hook length, it just seemed short on the video. Another question if I may how do you fix the starlites to your rod ? Great video and thanks for posting
