Great video Danny! And so enjoyable to see you fish one of my favourite stretches. Deffo worth a trip back with the stick float, there are one or two big surprises here. Don’t go below your usual 4.4lb mainline! Hopefully see you on there sometime pal

Another lovely venue and a good result at the end of a session which didn't look particularly easy.. I'm envious of the places you get to fish because I don't drive and have to rely on my Mrs to take me to local venues. The River Aire is a short drive away from where I live but unfortunately my local stretch is almost devoid of fish. It's my birthday next month and I've been promised a trip to a venue of my choice, so I'm going to have a barbel session on either the Wharfe or the Swale. Have you ever crossed the Pennines to fish any of the Yorkshire rivers ?

Spot on Danny, I did laugh, I'm actually looking at the new rod thinking Danny will be taking the plastic off that rod when he catches a barbel.... and then you announce it. I've recently bought a Korum waggler rod and done the exactly the same thing 😅

Lived in preston for years mate and never fished the ribble. Great vid my mates little lads got a green version on your sons rod we call it the neon nudger its pulled in mid doubles. The cow question is like the chicken and the egg no one knows lol. The bull would usually be sound farmers dont put the nasty ones in the field but still always keep a eye on him.
@DannysAnglingBlog4 жыл бұрын
neon nudger!! love it haha, it doesnt surprise me its got some back bone to it and casts well for its size. mr bull was far too "busy" i can tell you that haha

Hi mate love your content. If you want to invest in a Wigan angling Card you can fish on the ribble at a place called Elston farm. There are some good sized chub and strong fighting barbel

I'd be interested to know how you rate the motorway stretch (aka Tickled Trout), I've fished it a few times myself but never had much joy, mind you I am a spectacularly unsuccessful angler.

Been looking at the river levels app. Any advice on what levels to look for or avoid with the Ribble or the Dane? It’s always disappointing making the long journey then discovering the river is in flood
@DannysAnglingBlog4 жыл бұрын
for float fishing i usually say 0.6m at rudheath is the limit for the dane and ribble is 1.2m at walten le dale in winter there the limits i keep to for float fishing mate. i have no idea with barbel for ribble as its new to me but that river rises and drops in hours so its hard one for sure
