We use the Duvalay sleeping system in our VW Ocean…it’s a game changer .

We've tried Duvalay toppers in the past (two singles) but found they took up too much space when not in use. Haven't tried the built in sleeping bag type thing though.... maybe we should!?

So close to where I live, would have loved to pop over and say hello. I actually bought my first van from Lowdhams 🙂On your walk to the Lock, did you see the sign that says: Attention dog owners Pick up after your dogs. Thank you. Attention dogs Grrrrr, bark, woof. It made me laugh when I first saw it. And you're right, it really is a beautiful place to walk.

CBA with yet another bag to carry but quite happy with our S2S. Interesting site next door - looked up reviews and they sound terrible - dirty loos, spiders everywhere and “vanlifers” making noise whern having parties because the site is unmanned. On the avoid list. Having just got the Britstops book though EM43 looks good and defo tick that one in the book.

I am looking at a California beach to replace my 3rd Caravelle. I can afford nearly new or a 18th month old one. My question, how necessary s the onboard diesel night heater is it a must have option for the UK?

It really depends on how much you feel the cold. We wouldn't want to have any form of camper without a night heater, but we do get cold and feel the cold. It's worth remembering that there are quite a few companies that can retrofit a heater for you to a van if you find one that doesn't have it. It might not be exactly OEM but Webasto and Eberspacher are both excellent makes of heater (and what VW use themselves). You could buy one without, see how you get on and add one later?
