Good on yah! Tony, I've been in BKK a few times over the years, and I've used the river boats to get up and down the river, much more fun than the tourist boats, and the all day pass ticket is fantastic value. I also love using the Sky Train BTS system that has some interesting views of the city, again an all-day pass makes using the system a breeze if you want to explore, if you get off at the wrong staion you are more than likely find new and interesting things completely by chance. You mentioned some concerns about safety at the beginning of the vid, but I would never go out with more money on me than I'm prepared to lose in a day/night, or more belongings than necessary, always dress respectfully, never flashy, and, like you said, never talk to strangers on the Soi's, (especially the smartly dressed ones) Enjoying your adventures Tony, keep yourself safe, and, hopefully, we'll catch up with a cheecky Chang and a chat when I'm in Hua Hin again.

Wat Arun's full name is Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchawaramahawihan = The Temple of Dawn. If you live in Bangkok (which you don't), it is best to buy a stored value ticket for the BTS, because the queues at the machines and ticket booths can get quite long.
