Your videos are a bitter sweet combo for me…I get all hyped to paddle after I watch them, but then I remember Ohio only has flat, slow moving water for the most part. Lol. Looks like a blast down there. Great vid as always!

Nothing too hard there, but looks like lots of gentle fun! I'd have one installed in my backyard if I had a backyard. Since I don't have a back yard, and since I'm a long way from NC, I'll just settle for Upper Death with occasional trips elsewhere as time and decent water permits. We're pretty much done for the year out west here. Just not enough water left in the rivers, so now we're just waiting for the snow to fall. Same story every year.

Yeah, this place is close to my brother's house... I have done multiple white water rafting trips and have even paddled duckies on the Upper New. I have paddled a few rapids in my 10' montour and 14' carolina---But watching your videos, I want to try white water kayaking now!. I have even looked at some used ww boats online... I def. want to come down to Charlotte and give it a try and then maybe hit some rivers someday... do they rent boats there?

Right on Hans! They do boat demo's but you need all your own other gear...

Hope he doesn’t have my luck with the shoulder. Dislocated mine once and that was the end of the line. Many recurrent dislocations (at least 20, lost count) afterwards and three shoulder surgeries. The last being a reverse shoulder replacement at 51. I was in my lower 40s first instance. So that was probably the culprit for me. Didn’t have age on my side. My last dislocation was in the wilderness near Damascus VA. 30 miles from help and couldn’t get it reduced on my own. After that adventure I told the doc cut it off or freeze it in place or shoot me at sunrise. He opted for the total shoulder replacement. Verdict is out if it will be successful. Good luck to that poor guy it gives me PTSD to see a dislocated shoulder.

Oh wow. Well here is to hoping that the surgery fixes things! Hate to hear that R Hokie! Keep me up to date!
