Y'all got a lot of good stuff. Birmingham is definitely the best place in the state to railfan at. If y'all haven't already made it back to New York have a safe trip.

Should have checked out the Train Watching Platform in Irondale. It's at the end of the NS yard, and is constantly filled with activity.

In town for a a day and tmrw (Thursday is the only day I can chase the ATN) do you have any info on what there operations may be tmrw, currently my plan is to start out ATN Gadsden at around 8 and go from there. Any info would help me out significantly as I am going out of luck currently. Thanks a ton!
@RiverLineProductions6 жыл бұрын
Hey. I am sorry to say I do not know much about the ATN operation and/or schedule, so I couldn't give any info on that. It is possible that KZbin users Slater Dozer and mbmars01 may have more info, but I am not sure. I think they know the area somewhat well, or at least better than I do. I wish you luck on your outing, though!

River Line Productions thanks man I’ll ask them!

The ATN, know to those who love it as : "Any Time and Never". Usually Sunday night, and Weds night at B'ham, I do not know much about their operations in Gadsden. They often leave their trains along 1st AV South, awaiting recrew or for other reasons. They work CMC Steel at 50th St usually every trip.

What is THB
@RestrictedProceed5 жыл бұрын
Short for "Thoroughbred", paint scheme used on NS engines. Switch to 12:45 and look at the letterings on sides of the 1st and 2nd locomotive. Lead engine wears "Horse head" (HH) scheme, trailing engine "Thoroughbred" (THB) scheme.
