What do you mean “ what kind of democracy is that ,where 27lawmakers are loyal to an ex governor “ that is literally what democracy is all about. It’s freedom of expression and freedom of association. They were elected by their constituents,just the same way the governor was elected by his constituents. In fact if you add up the total votes of those 27 lawmakers, you will realize that nearly twice as many rivers people voted for them than actually voted for the governor. So who really has the actually people’s mandate. ? They have the right to be associated or loyal to whom ever they want. It’s a damn democracy, they are a co equal part of government remember?You should be asking yourself why even after he has left office and has no leverage over anyone, nor has the state treasury at his disposal to dispense favors, those law makers choose to stick with wike rather than stay with the current governor who has all the power and state treasury at his disposal? Could it be because fubara is actually a horrible person? Why is it that the only stake holders coming out to support him publicly are people who looted rivers for 8years under amaechi, whom wike put out of business? Wike did not dissolve any lga chairman , the then house of assembly did. They are the only ones constitutionally empowered to do that, which is what the governor is trying to subvert. We are talking about fubara here who was declared wanted by the efcc for embezzlement before the election, it’s this same wike that shielded him and got a court order from rivers high court barring the efcc from arresting him, then rigged election to elect him

@@princeodogwu EFCC declaring Fubara wanted is no big deal. He made payments at the behest of his former boss Wike, i'm sure he has receipts and records of payments made on behalf of the State. Who mandated Wike to buy forms for them, if not for selfish reasons. His intention was to control them by blackmail, Fubara has refused to milk the state into Wike's pockets, this here is the bone of contention between them...Wike wanted to take advantage of the meekness of Fubara to rule a 3rd term by proxy...it doesn't work that way. How could he be collecting N5bn monthly, is it to pursue his sinister political journey by bribing institutions of democracy here and there?

The Private television stations including Channel TV have been bought by the Federal government and they invite the opponents of the State Government to speak everyday which could lead to truncating the democracy. Wike lost his presidential bid in PDP then he decided to cause chaos in PDP and he also wants Nigeria democracy to be truncated. Federal government should take note. Wike is a green snake in a green grass.
