I’ve never seen black girls in k-pop videos like that let alone 3 of them! It made me so happy! They made sure they had a girl with a hijab, a disabled girl, an albino girl, white and even a Latina I think. All of them being represented as normal girls and not as some stereotype. This was their first comeback and they still made it about the fans instead of them which would be the norm and the safest way. How can you not love LOONA? They’re not a group, they’re a movement! I mean, their username everywhere really is “loonatheworld”, they were hinting at it from the very beginning 🦋🌈

And also: the scene where the black woman runs towards the brick wall and is kicking it - right after this the screen turns black. What was so touching about the music video and people new to loona might not get immediately is the fact that, loona has a story that theyre telling with each mv, and each girl has a narrative that theyve told through past videos. This was the first time they didnt acted as their characters in a music video. Instead, real girls from all over the world took their places, loona just stayed in one place dancing to create a butterfly effect and inspire people to break free.

I'm pretty sure the song is about how LOOΠΔ is trying to create a butterfly effect (one small action, turning into a giant thing) this song being a small action, and them becoming a giant thing, and we are what can help, send the message forward! Fun fact: the black screen before the first chorus actually was meant for US Behind the screen, to appear in the music video!! :)

The LGBTQ representation is found mostly in one members solo, Heart Attack by Chuu, a song about a girl who has a crush on another girl and does all she can to be like her and become the things her crush likes so she can be liked back. Very much a love song, and it has a christmassy feel to it too

i love everything you each said here regarding loona !! they set apart from so many k-pop bands and artists. they focus on diversity and empowerment rather than focusing on visuals. they each stand for something, and all have solo songs. there are 12 members and all are so lovable. they debuted with hi high and had their second comeback with butterfly and the xx album. these 12 girls work so hard for each and everyone of their fans to feel loved and worth something. regardless of race, sexuality, and religion you are loved, you are loona.

they also are very supportive of their LGBTQIA+ fanbase. the 9th member, yves, has spoken upon this and feels strongly about sending positivity and love to all. one music video in particular that displays good wlw aspects, is heart attack (chuu, the 10th member's, solo song!) which yves does star in as chuu's crush. these girls work so hard in changing the kpop universe. no kpop band has approached anything like loona, which has made it very hard for them to be heard especially in korea. they have been messed with by so many companies and screwed over, but with words and videos like yours we are able to show more and more people the power behind loona.

Loona stand for so many things. They have older songs talking about self love (Yves new and Olivias egoist) and songs about consent (Yeojins kiss later). Not to mention they have a clearly gay storyline in the 'loonaverse' in which Chuu's character has a big fat crush on Yves (can be seen in her solo heart attack aka cute af). This song focuses on the fans. The teaser was called 'to all the Loonas around the world' and this song is about regardless of you race, religion, body, disability etc you are Loona because we are all amazing. Loona's creative director has a clear view of what hes doing. He want's Loona to make an impact and the girls are filling that to the best of their ability, always making sure they have a concept and message to send. Also 11 of them are Korean, but Vivi (the oldest) is chinese.
