I was about to switch back to Samsung, but the concerns about battery life is keeping me on IOS until Samsung sorts out the battery issue. I guess I could also just get the S23 Ultra and limit the upgrade to One UI 6.0.

If you don't care about total customization, full multitasking capabilities, turning your device into a more than capable PC on the go or the outstanding capabilities of the powerful SPen, then the iPhone is for you and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Not everybody wants or needs that much versatility in their phones. Samsung power users like myself however can't imagine having anything other than a Galaxy series device. Choose what's right for you.

@@lookahere I was "power" user of Samsung phones for 7 years straight and I could never get a clear pic of moving subject due to shutter lag. I'm now using "less smart" Iphone and everything seems to be working as good or better. The only thing I miss is split screen.

@stevanb.2590 For whatever reason, Samsung will " handicap" the cameras on their devices right out of the box. To make things worse, they don't really give tutorials on how to get the maximum from them either. The shutter lag can be easily corrected in the camera settings. Afterwards you can take pics just as fast as you can press the button. You can also choose how many photos will be taken with each press of the button. It has always been a mystery to me as to why Samsung would not have their phones on the best most convenient settings automatically. They pack their devices with so many amazing features but seem to expect their customers to find them like Easter eggs. It's very weird to me. SMH. All that being said, I'm glad you have the phone you want and are happy with it. I do too much multitasking on the job and I am an avid S pen user so the iPhone is just not an option for me. I do like Apple though.

Actually the S24U comes with the Snapdragon in all regions. The normal S24 and the plus comes with Snapdragon only in the US, China, Canada, Macau, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.

Hence, i believe this feature is made specifically for such people even though in principle i like writing about my personal experience rather that making generalizations about other people.

I chop and change everytime i upgrade went from s5 to iphone 6s plus to s10 then iphone 12 now i have s24 ultra , one thing i will say as ive gotten older i prefer the simplicity of iphone alot more dont get me wrong the s24u is jam packed with features and it is a beast of a phone which i will use for the next 4 plus years but i must admit sometimes less is more if that makes sense , both great phones

Curious about your opinion: At my place 15 pro max is 1200 USD, whereas S24 ultra is 945 USD. Been an Android/Samsung user ever since (s20+ currently), and I'd miss the customization,security folder,edge menu but recently the camera became really important for me (travelling,family stuff etc) and I like the pro max design more and have airpods,planning to get an iPad. Would this be enough to make the switch to iPhone,or should I upgrade to the S24 U?

Paying over 1000 bucks and then ending up with blurry unusable pictures of kids, pets, people... should not be acceptable. Samsung Galaxy Ultra 24 uses only the Snapdragon SoC and an anti-reflectiive panel. Interesting video iPhone has come a long way but I'm sticking with One UI. Especially with Good Lock it's customisation is next level.

8gen3 npu is the most powerful npu on a phone rn , galaxy a.i is on device since s24u got released theres a toggle in the settings in galaxy a.i section wich lets you run all galaxy a.i features when completely offline. So you can choose between using the cloud or not

True! I’ve had Samsung for the past 12 years , last device was the S23 Ultra , had several problems after the 6.1 update and finally decided to move to the iPhone. I wonder which problems you encountered. When it comes down to it , the most important thing is the feeling of trust in your device. To keep your personal info secured , to wake you up if you set an alarm , to navigate you through the world and so on. All those features on android amount to nothing if there is no trust

AI is strong and Apple chips are way more enhanced in this category, might be a big leap. Nothing beats the iPhone if It comes to photos or videos. I'm power user and I do not need to "decorate" my screen like teenager. In my country Samsung is cheaper than iPhone for about 500 Dollar. To make it clear, in Turkey, we pay 65.000 TL for S24 Ultra 512GB which is equal for 1967$ and for iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB we pay for 85.000TL which is 2573$. Difference between them especially in terms of Turkish currency, there is a huge gap while Turkish average wage is about 500 Dollar. So, ı don’t see any reasons for buying an iPhone 😊

When I do use the GFs 14Pro the iConsistency is noticeable. The way navigation changes app to app. The way settings could be in an app or in the os settings for some weird reason. The way her notifications cascade with 11ty seperate, from just the same app , or the way her Garmin receives every annoying unnecessary notification "consistently"🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️.

Samsung has that inconsistent camera thing, pixels still have some ui stuttering, but yeah whatever man iphone lacks every other feature they don't even have universal back gesture, clipboard history and number row on their keyboards , how do people even use these.. or imagine using a pro max without something like Samsungs one hand operation + app from good lock. That's all good to have these specs there in Iphone 15 pro max. However, Apple lacks basic evolution. Let's say I was taking photos on direct sunlight for 5 minutes in around 30 degree weather temperature. Phone got hot unexpectedly and dimmed my screen. How? That never happened in huawei p30 pro. It doesn't happen on Samsung S24 ultra. It's apple. Come on. €1450 for the phone to dim the screen while taking photos is ridiculous and above. And this is one of the many silly amd prehistoric things iphone never evolved from 🙄🤦‍♂️

Efficient, bro are serious right now? The iPhone doesn't do anything, it can't be anything else but efficient. No split screen, no real multi tasking, no real picture in picture. iPhone doesn't do anything special without the use of a MacBook, or iPad. On it's own it's a real disaster, a social media device at best! Everybody is always talking about how android isn't as smooth as iPhone. But if you carried a heavy load on your back, you wouldn't be smooth either. Apple!
