Miss A's situation has always been interesting to me. I've always felt JYPE never really knew what to do with Miss A to begin with. They pretty much were thrown together and then they hit success very quickly with their debut. Even before Suzy's surge to popularity, JYPE barely gave them the bare minimum and never really try to create any sort of stable fanbase with them. It's honestly kinda amazing how each comeback of theirs was still a hit despite all of this.

It wasn't suzy's fault though!! She got so much hate because of that and she was only a teenager at that time, after they disbanded she didn't do much as an idol and continued acting and even as an actress she doesn't appear in variety shows or stuff like that. In my opinion It's the result of how much that times effected her mental health. She mentioned it before and said she regrets that debuted too early

RJ, you should watch a Hush performance; it's a dance move that was not shown in the MV. Also, Yeji, Chaeryeon, and Ryujin covered Hush for an ITZY fan meeting. Okay, so Miss A was one of the most successful debuts in kpop. The thing is, at that time, it was standard for the visual and face of the group to be sent everywhere to promote the group, and Suzy became insanely popular as soon as Koreans saw her face, so she did advertisiments, variety shows, had a TV and cinema debut, and she won awards for all 4, as a rookie. The first and only one to do so, I guess no one could imagine how big she'd be. But that meant that Korea had a massive interest on her that didn't include the other members. A lot of people say JYPE mismanaged them and, though I agree, it was never a fair fight to begin with. They were only 4 girls: Jia and Fei were chinese, Min didn't fit the very strict korean beauty standard. Atempts to promote them fell on deaf ears cause people had their eyes set on Suzy. Miss A didn't have a long and prolific career, and fall short in comparison to other big ggs of that time, but I honestly don't think the gap in popularity of the members was avoidable. Suzy had everything korean society admires, being young, sweet, beautiful with a 3D personality, people saw her as humble and hard working. The moment she nailed a role on a sucessful movie about an enchanting first love that was foolishly lost, it was over. She has been untouchable ever since. I do recommend you check their other MVs, they don't have much, sadly. Breathe (first cb), I Don't Need a Man (after Touch), and Only You (their last cb). Their empowering message got me into kpop when many had failed before. And if you have 2 hours to spare I ask you to watch the first 2 episodes of Suzy's drama While You Were Sleeping, if that story doesn't get you hooked I don't know what will, lol

Incidentally, AKMU did Miss A's 'Breathe' for their audition for K-Pop Star which is an iconic performance in itself. Pink hair/Orange hair girl was Jia and her solo's are worth a look (as are Suzy's). A lot of groups/artists covered “BAD GIRL, GOOD GIRL” either in year end shows or on audition shows. It’s the same with “HUSH”, that song and choreography was covered by everyone!!!! Oh and yeah BAE SUZY is super pretty, she’s not called “THE NATION’S FIRST LOVE” for no reason. But despite her crazy visuals, she actually is very funny and quite boyish too. She’s always appearing in many variety shows at the height of MISS A popularity. Suzy is my bias wrecker though, my bias is actually Min the girl that usually has the short hair with the great vocals and main dancer. I just love her energy whenever she performs or when I see her in the MVs. But of course Fei and Jia are just as amazing and talented too! They were a very strong and versatile group tbh! JYP really dropped the ball with them for real! But I get it, some members wanted to pursue other things and wanted to shine on their own. That’s very common and of course some certain members get more of the spotlight than others and not by that members own doing…but still..it’s very common and right now all of them are doing well.

옛날 노래는 "멜로디" 위주고, 요즘 노래는 "비트" 위주로 바뀜. 나는 개인적으로 멜로디 위주의 옛날 노래들이 더 좋다고 느낌. 비트 위주의 노래는 한순간 눈낄을 끄는 힘은 좋지만 오래도록 부르며 즐길 힘은 부족함. 반대로 멜로디 위주의 노래들은 비트 위주의 노래보다는 눈낄을 확 끄는건 부족하지만 뇌리에 박히면 정말 오래오래 감. 멜로디 위주의 시대가 다시 부활 했으면 좋겠다.
