Hauntingly beautiful. Orla Fallon's rendition of Isle of Innisfree inspired my daughter at age 6 to learn to sing the entire song, which promptly got her classified as gifted and talented by our school district. And it is Orla Fallon who next inspired my daughter to take harp lessons, which she has been doing for nine months now.

This is a beautiful video, Orla Fallon has the voice of angel. This song is one of the most descriptive about Ireland, a country which is so endowed by God.

Incredibly well performed, and well produced. Celtic Woman isn't trad, it's true, but they are great performers. They are true to the heritage, even though they do a complex production. They have also introduced millions to this wondrous music, and there fore, the Soul Of Erin. Also, as a Harpist myself, I note that her playing was well done, and done by the book. Not just improvised. The hand position tells all. She has worked very hard to get this right. If this doesn't seriously mess you up, you've not a soul of Eire in you.

This one brings tears to my eyes. Being part-Irish (isn't everyone?) it's so evocative of the gentle side of the Irish spirit.

Every time I hear this song I'm back in time many years to a lazy evening of channel surfing. On one channel this wonderful voice was singing this song. I've been a Celtic Woman fan ever since.

I've met some folk who say that I'm a dreamer And there's no doubt there's truth in what they say For sure a body's bound to be a dreamer When all the things he loves are far away. And precious things are dreams unto an exile They take him over the land, across the sea Especially when it happens he's an exile From that dear lovely Isle of Innisfree. I watch the the moonlight peep across the rooftops Of this great city wondrous though it be. I scarcely feel its wonder or its laughter I'm once again back home in Innisfree. I wander o'er green hills and sleepy valleys And find a peace no other land could know I hear the birds make music fit for angels And watch the waters laughing as they go. But dreams don't last Though dreams are not forgotten And soon I'm back to stern reality. And though they paved the footpaths here with gold dust I still would choose my Isle of Innisfree. I still would choose my Isle of Inishfree. Category Music Music in this video

Hauntingly beautiful. I am exactly half German and half Irish, but my Irish has always been strong and I have been drawn to Irish culture and history ever since I can remember. I hope one day to visit the Emerald Isle and find myself (or should I say "meself"?) a beautiful red-headed Irish Lass and make her me own. When it is time for me to take me last breath, my final request is to be cremated and have me ashes scattered throughout each of the counties of me Celtic homeland. Sláinte.

the applause should have been louder than that! what's wrong with all of the audience????
@jamesdolan40427 жыл бұрын
Calum Dinh This is very old song and it's been song by many, many people over the years, so it's nothing new to this audience. There is no stage Irishness here, it's no superficial. Did you know that when Celtic Woman made albums at Powerscourt, the audience was comprised of only American tourists who were bused in for the performances. I suppose they could applaud better than the Irish. Having said that it's nice to see Orla Fallon being organic band beautiful.
