@@nitsuddo Pretty great. The RLG is the one watch I have that my brother (who also buys watches) is jealous of. It's the one I wear the most. I don't remember too much about shipping and service, but It came quickly and was packaged well. Great watch roll and excellent quality. I love it.

VERY Nice piece. Good to see a Brand focusing on improving current models, instead always trying to push out something new, unlike most Micro Brands. I also appreciate the abbreviated RLG logo instead of the guy's name on the dial ( I'm looking at you Christopher Ward )

I got this watch for $359 on the pre-order deal back in March too. It ticks all the boxes for me, 39 mm case size, domed sapphire crystal, no date, retro look and not so expensive that I worry about daily desk diving with it. That clasp does get scratched quite easily, but at this price, I can live with it. Reminds me a lot of my Baltic Aquascaphe at half the price.(but I have to admit the Aquascaphe is much less of a value proposition, but I am a sucker for the BOR bracelet and box domed sapphire crystal so to me it was worth the extra cost).

I have a blue gilt Aquascaphe (full kit) and the Méraud Bonaire (grey/full kit + extras). I have the 39mm bug too I guess. Ordered a custom dialed San Martin 6200/SN004-G vintage diver last week. Now I need the Black RLG to go with the set.

Really nice watch! RLG is constantly improving on already high quality products. 👏 The only thing missing for me is the date as I like to have a date on my watch, but I get why they didn't put it regarding the design.

The buckle is the exact same as on my Escapement Time flieger. The logo looks a lot like San Martin's.

Steady improvements done on this RLG especially the Dial/Case and obviously the 9 series movement. I grabbed a MK2 yrs ago and it’s been a great daily beater that looks good. Solid piece for the money especially when it’s on sale. Wouldn’t have grabbed the MK2 unless it was on sale. Thanks for the review, well done, much better piece now.

So this is the 4th version, right? I know they changed the name of the watch as well as the name of the brand to just "RLG" but this diver has been around for a while, it just keeps getting updates. I like it a lot.

Something about sapphire bezels rubs me the wrong way. Call me controversial, but I actually prefer aluminum or steel bezels over sapphire.

I feel that way too. I think I prefer matte to shiny.

@@gravynog yeah that might be it. I don't mind shiny bezels if they are ceramic though. It may also just be the way that the markers are applied on sapphire bezels.

It's a matter of taste. I like all sorts of bezels personally...... This one for sure..... Non-ceramic/sapphire bezels always eventually scratch on me..... Which is always a bad time...... And always draws my eye.

this is a gorgeous piece, but the bracelet links are too thick/bulky and the micro adjusts dont do anything to improve the fit because of the spacing. Also, this uses pin&collar, not push pins for the bracelet.
