Tell us what you think? Is the suspension an improvement over the CRF230 and TTR-230? Are the breaks better? Kawasaki has an interesting off-road bike coming out also. It’s nice to have options between putt putt trail bikes and $9k-10k off road bikes. EFI and rear disk breaks are definitely welcome.

Also, tell us the difference between the 250f and 250r , which one is the best one? Which has more power or recommend?
@rmatvmc5 жыл бұрын
@@alexj2283 Those two bikes are very different in power, the 250R is a liquid cooled performance engine that is meant to be revved higher and ridden more aggressively (motocross). The 250F is an air cooled engine that is meant to rev lower and used more for cruising around on trails. If you want more power and plan to ride the track, the 250R is the way to go, if you're more of a novice rider or want a bike to ride around on trails with, the 250F will suit you better.

I bought a 250F in March. I’ve put a lot of trail miles on it since then. Not a fast or peppy bike, but it’ll get you up any hill or through any hole. It’s pretty heavy compared to other 250 cc bikes too. It has a lower center of gravity, which makes those tight corners ridiculously easy. I wasn’t too keen on having the electric ignition, but man, it sure is nice being able to just push the button and go. Especially if you stall on an uphill climb. The suspension is a little softer than I’d like, and it will bottom out occasionally. One other downside is that you have to be in 1st or 2nd gear with your ass way back in the saddle to get the front wheel off the ground. That makes for a wet ride when you’re trying to go through a puddle. the stock exhaust is super quiet, which is a plus for me, but not for others. It gets ANAZING fuel mileage, and it even has a low fuel light. The fuel injection system makes for a quick throttle response too. Overall, I’ve been very satisfied with it. If you’re looking for something to enjoy some trails without having to hold on for dear life while screaming through the trees, then get the 250f.

4:05 Inseam is key, height doesn't equate to inseam, there are 6' + riders with very short inseams, and very short riders with longer inseams. Not that height is a very poor indicator, just that inseam is much more relevant regarding seat height.

IIRC when these guys did their 5MOH challenge on cheap bikes the similar TTR230 was the winner. This SHOULD be a good reliable trail bike for many people as long as you don't need to go fast.

Great looking bike, especially with the upgrades, love the bare/silver rims. I wish they made an air cooled, adjustable valve, lightweight bike very similar to this, and this size with a bit more hp, closer to 30hp , emphasis on lower to mid range torque. I would expect to pay quite a bit more without complaint.

Hey I’m 6’0 205lbs do you think I would have a good fit on this bike? Just hearing you were 5’7 and your feet are just touching the ground for it to be comfortable is a little off putting. Any help would be much appreciated!!

How would the FMF Quiet core 4 compare to the stock exhaust,sound wise ? i put on the Yoshimura full exhaust,big difference in power gain but WAY to loud for my liking so i put the stock exhaust back on and now selling the Yoshimura.

The new 125f isn’t what the XR’s were. The four speed is far from ideal on slow trails. The gap between gears is to much

5:38 Do these 'wrap-around' Tusk D-Flex Pro hand guards clear the stock clutch lever on a 2020? And/or do you have a link to a shorter clutch lever? Thanks.

Is the clutch hydraulic and how well does the air cooling keep the engine cool?
@noidea19625 жыл бұрын
The clutch is NOT hydraulic, and, even in 90 degree plus, I've had zero problem with it being cool enough to continue running through the Black Hills of South Dakota...even the more technical, steep, and rocky areas.

So I’ve been doing research for a trail bike and I’m set on the crf250x from what I’ve read, but people on KZbin say to go for a crf250f, y isn’t the f not as good as the x??
@rmatvmc4 жыл бұрын
The 250X is also a great trail bike but is a lot different than the 250F. It really depends on your experience level and what riding you plan on doing with the bike. The 250X is based off the CRF250R motocross bike and has a taller seat height, adjustable suspension, and a liquid cooled engine closely related to the race bike. The 250F is still a very capable machine but is not as performance based and more geared towards less experienced or smaller riders. I would also recommend finding ones for sale so you can sit on both and see what you feel more comfortable on.

How would it be for a 175-185 pound rider?
@justonp19815 жыл бұрын
JamesM M This bike is perfect for a 175-185 pound rider. Super low maintenance. This bike is not a track bike but the ultimate trail machine with the perfect amount of useable power. If you are experienced you can take this bike anywhere with less fatigue than any of your riding buddies on bigger, faster, motocross bikes. This bike just sips the gas also. You will go almost twice the distance of a 2 stroke or racing 4 stroke motocross styled bike. If you ever want more power there is a 300cc big bore kit already available for this air cooled motor.

Any issues with the FMF since it's fuel injected and you can't tweak the carb?
@TN_HondaDad Жыл бұрын
No as that is EFI doing it's job electronically measuring how much fuel you need. :-} In theory, you could start out in Death valley and climb to a 10K mt and the bike would never hiccup like a carb bike as the computer is always monitoring and adjusting the proper amount of fuel. Carbs are slowly going away of the dinosaurs with dirt bikes and its about time!
