Great video, but not all the SFF forks are the same. I have a 2013 Suzuki RMZ450 and this procedure will not work. I bought the spring tensioner tool (expensive) and it will not work on this fork. You need a couple special tools that Suzuki makes for this rebuild. Just check your manual like they say before you go digging in or purchasing these tools. Part 1 of the video series is spot on. Thanks guys for putting this out. Its a big help for fork service.

For anyone watching this in reference to replacing the fork seals on your 2015 kx250f, this is inaccurate. The forks are similar, but, this process will not get your fork apart. The right fork on the 2015 kx250f is a lot simpler in my opinion. To remove the spring, you would remove the top cap, and remove the bottom adjustment bolt. From there you can turn the fork upside down, depress the bottom fork tube (with your body weight), exposing the jam nut. Using a slotted cap wrench, you can slide it under the jam nut, which would allow you to remove the bottom nut. From there, simply depress the bottom fork tube again and remove the cap wrench, and the entire spring assembly comes right out. And then your process for replace the seal is the same. Don't waste your money, buying the spring compressor, unless you have the fork in this video. Also the 2015 kx250 service manual does not show you how to take the right fork apart.

Kyle Mahon Hi I’ve just serviced my forks shown in the video but noticed that the bottom nut under the axel block spins freely but won’t loosen or tighten on the right leg?

common misconception: if the bushings look fine then they're fine. Fact: perfect looking bushings, if already used, tend to have about 30% more friction than brand new bushings. Hope people see this and it sinks in. 30% more friction than new bushings after you just paid for a fork service or did it yourself. new bushings every service, especially considering you're just banging them together taking them apart. Replace them. Have a good one yall

NOTE: I am rebuilding 2013 RMZ250 and the white (47mm) seal bullet is incorrect, you'll want to use the orange (48mm) seal bullet, and in my opinion, the white seal bullet is incorrect for this video also. You'll notice how hard it is to get on and off, and it bulges right around the top of the fork when it's on. It shouldn't do this. The correct seal bullet fits snug, but is very easy to remove. As well as the right fork being completely different on a 2013 RMZ250... But as always, thanks for the videos RM! Much appreciated!

hey fellas, I did this on my showas (though the internals on my right fork were completely different) and they're really stiff on the bike, do you reckon that could be down to too much oil? it was still within the books recommendation, and the preload and compression are both as soft as they go. and I'm pretty sure the legs are lined up in the triple clamps properly
