Seems like maybe idk as cheap to find low milage complete motor? A bike that rear ended totalled with low miles? Then sell off original mill in pieces? money ahead I would think and a motor with less miles that did NOT have metal bits swirling about? just saying

Engines that are rebuilt by mechanics who know what they’re doing will be cheaper in the long run rather than buying a complete engine. Each to their own! 🙌

I guess reason not to use quick shifter if you plan to keep bike for long

Excellent work. Question please: how many kms on the bike, and what could be the reason(s) for this damage?
@RyansMotorsportCentre
@RyansMotorsportCentre 6 ай бұрын
@@ahmadmajed8753 Thank you. I actually don’t remember the mileage but I believe it was under 10k miles. The damage was due to rider error unfortunately.

I started off as an apprentice in main dealership (Honda) and I worked my way up from there. Starting with education is always great. But if you can get good work experience under your belt, that will be very beneficial too! Hope that helps 👊👊

LOL my advice is based on decades ago I say DONT! There are uch easier ways to make bucks with your hands! I originally went to motorcycle mechanics schools and worked two years two shops (first lost franshise due to the 2nd) It is a knckle busting dirty damn job and warranty work is based on unreasonable flat rate....basically shop takes half and YOU eat ANY mistakes which trust me are not so hard to make like missing something or any number of things.....imagine completely putting an engine back together and it still is not right? Its all BACK out and apart head scratching and you are now working for FREE,,,you have to be so so so careful inpecting and putting things back in exacting orientation laboriously checking all clearances. it is not that hard to screw up especially trying to make time so you are not working too cheap Kawasaki was so ruthless with flat rate times they sort of required one to damn LIE just to work for peanuts! Like padding job with extra failures supposedly also repaired. And in the middle of a busy work load the shop owner/managers would constantly interrupt me to come help the parts guy sell customer right parts or shove quickie damn tire changes into the que or any mumber of quick jobs for valued (to HIM) customers, I quit that trade early on and became an electricia! So much better a trade! Sure no getting paid for test rides and wheelies but just reasonable straight forward work I NEVER had to "eat" whatever minor errors etc....just PAY for each and every minute worked PERIOD (union electrician) I guarantee I made many times more money without having filthy cut up hands (well sometimes injured hands are ANY manual work but nowhere near the tight often unreasonable tightness of motorcycle layers of parts to remove etc) ....my 2 cents do what you want but if you are sharp enough to be a good mechanic you are sharp enough to be an electrician

I recon being more a specialist on only high end bikes would be better just a guess? Maybe a Ducati mechanic with $2k routine scheduled valve maintence or a suspension guy. IOW working on a lot of the same high end stuff over and over so you just KNOW it rather than a big 4 japanese mechanic with a whole slew of grimy crap previous owners have worked on filthy random CRAP no one wants to put much into...kinda what I did 70s kawasaki mechanic although we took in ANYTHING One day rebuilding a pressed crank shaft for a triple the next lacing new rims on spokes on some desert racers sled the next figuring out bizarre electric problem or crazy carb tuning on something with aftermarket carbs and other parts the next some leaky bike with 60kmiles that has NEVER once been cleaned spending more time getting through grime than actually getting to fastners the next maybe reboring a batch of cylinders that piled up until it was worth focusing on just those....btw LOTS of striped fastners custpmers had destroyed screw heads...you have to be an an expert removing such and/or repairing with helicoils....if something CAN be F'd up? Owners or previous owners can and DO it is one "WTF?" after another I swear at least these days shops have tire machines and a lot of tubeless wheels! Back in the day it was ALL tubes hand spooned tires ....damn RIM LOCKS galore! So easy to pinch a tube until you mastered it....ALWAYS a hated job cause THAT in particular paid CRAP
