What else,, ECU flash from 2wdw, 155 horse. I love it!! 500 mile rides no problem within the cruise control. Only complaint is milage, just got the third rear tire at 13000 miles and changed rear sprocket to -1tooth from stock.. helped to give me a few more miles per tank on the last trip down the coast, plus a little lower rpm on the freeway.. love my Mt..!..

Congratulations on the anniversary! My MT-10 is the one bike that I regret selling, it was well sorted too with a K&N, Leo Vince link pipe and carbon can and a Woolich QS/Blipper with a remap to suit, 154 at the tyre was fun but highlighted the crappy front brake pads, some SBS HS pads fixed that *Heads to AutoTrader to look for another* Even my bike buddies still give me crap for trading it for a KTM SuperDuke 1290, nothing but electrical problems with that thing, awesome when it worked though.

@stonesie81 Your 20 was nice! How did you like the Leo Vince linkpipe. I've been eyeballing it but afraid it's too loud. Hard to tell online. Also did Moore Mafia tune yours?
@stonesie812 жыл бұрын
@@CharlesAlexanderJr No I'm in the UK so I got a local company to do it using the same Woolich software, Parkitt Racing. As for the Leo Vince it was run with no baffles at all and was loud but not too loud, even on day-long 400 mile rides it didn't give me a headache and sounded great. The small resonator in the link pipe knocks the edge off the volume without hurting performance. Mine was also ceramic coated black and was a used bargain, the guy I bought it from had had it paired with the standard exhaust can which is just for looks, it has almost no effect on the sound volume.
@CharlesAlexanderJr2 жыл бұрын
@@stonesie81 @stonesie81 That's exactly what I wanted. A little edge off. I dig the look of the Leo link as well(hope it colors to match stock headers when hot). Kinda sucks when everyone is looking waiting to hear it you start it and sewing machine😂. I like it but dang! Thank you for the info, friend.

I'm the owner of the bike in the video. I started riding sportbikes many years ago and was big into doing track days. I eventually wound up bikeless for about a 3 year period. I knew I wanted another fun bike but also wanted comfort. I sat on an mt10 and knew it had the ergonomics I wanted. I then decided to try to make this bike full sport tourer and also make everyone second guess what kind of bike it is. Did the touring windscreen, handguards, heated grips, Sargeant seat, lowered foot pegs, full Shad luggage system. I have an R1 belly fairing coming in to complete the look. It's funny how many double takes I get cause people don't know what they're looking at. For me this bike is perfect, it's comfortable and one hell of a beast to ride. Do older fz1’s have the Ecu check engine issue as well(2009)? I think I saw that obd2 plug when I was changing the battery… also I’ve only recently gotten back on a bike after about a 20 year layoff …I was wondering if there’s a way to find out if my bike has already been flashed without having to mail away the Ecu ….(it’s riding season and I ont wanna have it down if don’t have to ) so …meaning like locally, at a bike shop where they can plug in a high end obd2 and see running specs or otherwise and say it’s stock or flashed …? I don’t know any history on the bike , got it from a used bike dealer in another state ,car fax says it o the north east via texas …other than seeing the exup was disconnected,and it havin a 47 tooth rear sprocket,and at some point it went down lightly ( small scrape on tank and here and there) I know nothing . And I don’t really need more hp ,it’s seems insanely fast once I get over around 5000rpm . But I don’t know if that’s just me not knowing more “modern “ bikes at all and it’s still stock , or if the sprocket is why I can go from 45-50 mph to 100 mph in a mere 2 seconds +\-without even hitting full throttle ! Or maybe it was flashed already , I have no frame of reference in other words . I’ve yet to even need to redline as it gets faster and faster as it goes faster lol if that makes any sense ?🤷🏼♂️. It does seem to have that “throttle on” deal you mentioned about the fz10 .I assumed it was the sprocket making it snappy , but again I really dont know …no frame of reference deal.

hey, I have a quick question. If someone changes to a larger rear sprocket, will that show more torque on the dyno? or does the dyno compensate for that
@TL1000S972 жыл бұрын
A inertia dyno measure *acceleration* and calculate torque from hp/rpm. The latter is important. You will *not* get torque without rpm (pickup). The torque thru the wheel working on the drum *will* be greater in lower gear/shorter gearing ("big" rear sprocket), but the dyno will actually "see" less torque in lower gear. That is why max values always will be in the highest gear (which is logical as the transmission losses are the least in the highest gears).
@dbtrackz332 жыл бұрын
It’s usually the opposite. Slightly lower readings. Longer gearing by comparison will keep the engine under load longer and peak slightly higher.

Is the throttle choppy? like does it seem almost like an on/off throttle when in sport mode? If so, it's likely not flashed. The comfort seat wasn't bad but it had some sun damage and I wanted something a little better for touring. Sargeant builds this seat on your stock seat pan, you have to mail them a seat so I sent the stock one. Turn around was about a week I believe.
