I always thought we are suppose to act with a baseline of practicality pragmatism and reason. if sometimes tradition no longer reflect those things, than it's time for tradition to go.

Did her sister shun her for it? If so, then maybe you're seeing your aunt uncle and cousins for the first time...

I think tradition is good, so is progess and change. It's a question of balance, like anything in this world^^

I had a coworker who, after discussing a recent election and the fact that Wisconsin (my home state) did not vote in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage, clasped her hands together, looked skyward and mouthed, "Thank God." This was a woman in her sixties who voted Republican her whole life. So yes, I do know people who oppose it. :/

I think that every American needs to see this. xD

um. This is weird for Rick to say( I know he is acting), because I doubt this is what he really thinks because he is gay....

Text caption is slightly off.... 0:46 with the caption on says "that not address for decades that's just brought up talk for the little pile next door." I know this channel's owners aren't directly responsible for this new transcription thing, but someone might as well bring it to your attention

I don't notice those minute differences you describe -- I see only people. As should you. If you really wanted to follow Leviticus fully, we'd be no different from the Taliban. Finally, Jesus said -- among other things -- "That which you do unto the least of my brothers, you do unto me." Try using some critical thinking -- contrary to church teaching, it won't kill you.

@rooftopeagle Mercer supports tolerance and acceptance. As does The Bible, if you ever actually read the thing as much as you claim to in your profile.

@XxSnipezFTWxX I think its that change can be a good thing, and that male-male and female-female marriage should be allowed.

it was legalized here in 2005. theres always got to be an opposition to progressive change.

@russfromdodge This coming from the guy with a ton of hate in his system. Has the thought never crossed your mind that HATE does more to destroy families, than acceptance?

Wow this aired in 2005? This is a parady about public messages regarding gay marriage, right? Was gay marriage ever really an issue in Canada? I don't remember there ever being any fuss over it.
@seanwebb6057 ай бұрын
There was quite a fuss about it for a very long time. When it happened it turned out that it wasn't such a big thing. I don't mean to say it wasn't important for same sex couples. It just didn't cause the end of society the way the traditionalists told us that it would. It turns out they just go to work, raise their families, pay their taxes and volunteer in their communities like anyone else.

Every American? Are you assuming every American opposes gay marriage and supports everything "traditional"? Sorry, but you assume incorrectly.
@BoredomCorner14 жыл бұрын
...Are you TRYING to make all religious people sound like raving lunatics? Leviticus DOES order death to anyone who sleeps with a member of their own sex, commits adultery, has sex before getting married, eats shellfish, or even wears the wrong garmets -- I'd call that pretty Taliban-like. Incidentally, The Gospel barely says anything about homosexuality, but it does focus on forgiveness and acceptance. So why don't you?

Oh and incidentally -- calling me a "clown" for no particular reason, isn't exactly Christ-like either. Either follow your beliefs properly, or stop pretending to be something you're not.
@russfromdodge13 жыл бұрын
Rick,like all true liberals hates the traditional family.He will take every opportunity to mock anyone that has views that oppose his.Hope he finds a man and settles down to a traditional gay family.Whatever that is.
@BoredomCorner14 жыл бұрын
How can you possibly be a critical thinker, yet not notice the rather glaring irrationality or immorality in what you preach? Jesus didn't teach condemnation -- I already demonstrated how, and frankly if you actually cracked open The Gospel you'd find it for yourself in about a minute and a half.
