Join Tom Clum Sr. and son, Dan Clum, in this inaugural Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear vodcast. Topics include Tom’s broadhead preferences, Dan’s compound setup, the three main differences between compound and traditional bows, plus more. Leave your questions and topic ideas below, and we will use them for future episodes!
About Rocky Mountain Specialty Gear:
RMSGear is the home of Cutthroat Broadheads and Solid Archery Mechanics. We are the largest supplier of traditional bows in the Nation, with hundreds of unique bows in stock at all times.
Back in 1995 a brick and mortar traditional archery store was a pipe dream. Tom Clum and his sons built this store from the ground up with the help of many hands and good friends. Located at the base of the Rockies, we still are (and will hopefully always be) a family store. The coffee is always hot, come and see us.
Thank you for watching and commenting, from all of us at RMSGear!

I really need to get my recurve out again, haven’t shot it for months for a variety of reasons. Here in South Australia, the state government has proposed a ban on bowhunting which certainly hasn’t inspired me to shoot either. Seeing this video pop up has me inspired though. I always find Toms information really useful (I was one of those who was meant to go to the New Zealand clinic just as that virus hit and put a stop to it!) . If there’s more episodes of this I will look forward to learning more from watching. Thanks for sharing the knowledge guys!

Fantastic to see you guys post another video, I hope you post many more! I'm a newer traditional archer and I purchased the Solid Archery Mechanics course this last February. I've been working on it diligently this whole time, and my shooting has improved a lot. I was wondering if you might have any thoughts on how long this journey can take before you start to become confident with your shooting? I'm just now getting to the point where 95% of my arrows are staying in the 4 ring at 16 yards (my home practice spot), with my goal being the same performance at 20 yards. I'm happy with where I am, but its taken a lot of arrows to get here! So I'm just curious how long it took you to develop a confident shot, or maybe the average fella starting from scratch? I just don't see a lot of information out there on it and I have no idea if I'm doing well, average, or am a slow learner! (haha) Thanks for all you do!!
