He’s from Kentucky but moved to Nashville in 2001, and became a very successful songwriter. He has over 200 songs recorded by other artists, he didn’t record his first album Traveller until 2015 which won a Grammy. He has been CMA male artist of the year for 6 out the last 7 years. Cold live from CMA is great

It is the Country Music Awards. Chris Stapleton is a legend, that’s is his wife playing the tambourine. She also had a beautiful voice. He’s remake of Tennessee Whiskey is his most popular song and I believe he is from Kentucky. His live music is always great if not better than the radio version.

Chris Stapleton was born April 15, 1978, in Lexington, Kentucky, and raised in Staffordsville, located in rural, mountainous Johnson County, in eastern Kentucky. He began writing songs and playing guitar in his teens, teaching himself to play the instrument after only one formal lesson.

"Tennessee Whiskey" is his most famous song. Kentucky, where his is from, and Tennessee are bordering states. Country music is especially popular in the American South: Tennessee (Nashville, TN is the home of country music), Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. Most of Chris Stapleton's music is Blues, with Memphis, TN being the home of the Blues.
