So sad that they left so much stuff behind. Some of those items like the tables and chairs could’ve been donated or sold for a cheap price for new small start up businesses that don’t have a lot of capital. A homeless shelter or the Salvation Army could’ve probably used those towels, sheets and toiletries. The left all those nice dressers. America is so wasteful. This video is breaking my heart.
@TPRES_74

Renee Hicks-I thought about that and beggars can't be choosers but who wants towels and sheets people been shooting loads on or screwing on. I never use towels from hotels gotta bring my own and always sleep on top of the blanket.
@tamarrajames3590
@tamarrajames3590 5 жыл бұрын
OMEGA-P _74 The sheets and towels I can hear you on that....but for homeless people the basic toiletries left in every room, and backed up in storage, and toilet paper, those would be hugely welcomed by the homeless, or by shelters for women and children, and the one for men too,, places hit with disaster and flooding, there are a ton of uses for that stuff, and a lot wouldn’t say no to the linens either. Things have been. Sliding faster and faster in widening the gap between societal classes...the top somehow make more money. If they let it all go to destruction, the middle class lose more jobs from the closure of one hotel, and the bottom are in so much debt they can’t see a way out, but more of the middle end up in that bottom 80 percent or so every day. The middle is a dying breed.🖤🇨🇦

Tracy Oravec there is a law that prevents people from selling used mattresses.because of germs & bugs & disease so I'm guessing they couldn't donate them as well but a lot of the other stuff they could donate to.where I live 1 of the hospital's had gotten a hotel room setting ( bathroom & sink & the mirror) for there sleep study.it was really neat.& it was attached to the hospital.so there is so much that could be done with a lot of these things :-/

You always can tell an old swimming pool (in hotels, apt complexes etc) because the deep end is atleast 8 feet (or deeper). Newer pussified pools deep ends' are only 5 or 6 feet.

Gods. I love the way you use colour and contrast with Light and framing...and your editing is smooth and very slick,, music choices also fit perfectly. I love when you get this kind of a subject, it brings out the best In you Robb. There were some amazing perspective points in there, and you took prime advantage with them. Watching your work is like watching one of those famous fancy bartenders do their thing. I Love how excited you get about the architecture and building materials...even the decor, I don’t feel quite so geeky when I start stroking wooden walls and noticing details. That was a great atrium, too bad it is just gradually going too fall in and disappear. Thanks for sharing your enjoyment with us, and for being yourself, with no superior BS like you find all to often out there. You are genuine, presenting as yourself, and not trying to be all knowing and powerful at your work...while still educating your viewers if they want to be educated. You are nothing short of genius, and Kristy is there helping to keep it real. Great explore, have a fabulous weekend.🖤🇨🇦

Hey Robb I always enjoy you three together . Just got hooked up with Jose's channel and have had Max P for a while . As soon as I can I contribute other than comments . When I saw you looking at that Brochure Stand I howled . My wife and I picked up one off a Ferry from Vancouver to Victoria for a Night at a 150 yr old Mansion resort for 50.00 . When we got there we checked in . The Doorman picked up our bags and lead us out of the Mansion to a Room under the Staffs living Quarters . It was to late to go anywhere else so we stayed in this Freaky Basement . In the middle of the night there was this Creaking sound and this weird secret door opened up above the bed . The wife Screamed and when I got up and looked inside all it was was old chairs . Lol . 100's of them . Bloody Place was a Fire Hazard . I heard they tore down about a yr ago . Say to M & J don't forget K .

Another fabulous explore! The walls of the Japanese restaurant are beautiful!...One of the things I love about your videos is that I get to see places I never would otherwise, and it’s fascinating to see so many (sadly) abandoned places. It’s great how you are giving these places a new lease of life by sharing them with the world, and the details you show are wonderful- all those little things lying on the floor, really add a pathos to it. 👍👍 I often wonder if anyone watching your vids recognises a place they used to live, or go to...I’ve often wondered also about why the buildings are left, instead of being torn down completely (too expensive?) or re-used as something else....love you guys! Lovely couple🥰🥰

Excellent video... I like the style you use starting with the camera facing the ceiling, and then tilting down to see the rest of the room. Very different perspective... most urbex videos seem to be from eye level to the floor, with little seen of what's above. I also loved staying in a hotel with a pool atrium as a kid. Especially when we got a room with a door directly to the pool atrium instead of on the outside. Actually, to this day, if I am at a hotel with a pool, I ask for a room facing the pool. First, I am surprised a place like this would fail being within the proximity of a major population center. But I am also surprised so much was left behind to decay or be destroyed, instead of being donated to charity.

Robb I love this video,this made me think of places I went as a kid:Howard Johnson's/restaurant & motor lodge.I also remember Ponderosa & Bonanza buffet steakhouse.then there was Lums.yea I'm showing my age.I also remember going to Ames & it was in a basement of a house.the entrance had a green awning & u could see the pipes of the house.then in the late 1980's early 1990's they finally built a real store not far but that place was open for a long time.I grew up in VT & went on day trips to NH & I think this was in NH.I also remember a store called Globe.my grandmother loved that store.so many places that no longer exist.today we have dollar stores but everything in it isn't a dollar but when I was a kid I remember a store that everything was a penny.there was stuff like the dollar store in it but no food.I remember getting a bunch of stickers.thanks for bringing back some memories.this place was amazing & I can't wait till the next :-)

I am almost sure this is the Best Western in Elk Grove Village, as soon as it came on & i noticed the atrium, & theater I KNEW this was part of my childhood memories!😊👍 I moved out of Illinois to Reno though in '06, i sure don't miss the cold! If you guys are still in Illinois do a video on "Cuba Rd." in Barrington Illinois, scary, scary stuff!😨 Lots of weird, supernatural stuff, & cult like activity out there

Last atrium hotel I stayed at was a Super 8 in Norman OK. Pretty snazzy for a chain, budget motel!!

I always wonder just what made a great place like this to go 'under'. Looks like a great place to stay.
