Antony it’s a great performance, very impressive and motivational. I just turned 50 years, and I have started to train to the gym one year ago, and I can do 10 rep. For sure, I will work to increase it Greetings from Italy

Antony, you are my favorite bloger! I'm rejoying watching your videos. Thank you. Reicently, I also tried to do 30 pull ups, and unfoturnayely, I couldn't do it. I don't use technic like hanging one arm, and my reps is only till begin of my chin, and also i try doing pull ups as quicly as posible or my ligament is down.

When you achieved 30 last time, you did 20 then hung. 6 reps isn't enough, while you're fresh you need to capitalise. Congrats on 26=that's a top effort. BTW great channel Antony

Probably have to agree with that. I just wanted to try something different. The Italian Butterfly managed 320 pull-ups in groups of 6, with hanging rest. So I wanted to try it too. But he is a one off!

Tazio has immense grip strength..you can try also the slow tempo system of the guy who did 105 pull ups in one long set.

Well done Antony. You need to do something about the height of the bar. You shouldn't have ur legs crossed. Still very impressive
@yuvalomrad70905 ай бұрын
Theres also a guy who did 70+ reps with this hanging rest...but he did went 30-40 in a row before starting hanging one arm. Thats only works if your one arm hanging is very good and you can hold one arm for 2 minutes straight. If you can only hang one arm for 30 seconds or so, thats too challanging to do hanging rest one arm

Hi, this is a phenomenal performance and I'm really enjoying your videos. Curiously, do you ever do any leg exercises?
@funwithcalisthenics5 ай бұрын
That’s good to hear. I do some leg exercises but probably not enough. But as an ex marathon runner for many years, my legs are in good shape.

I normally don’t go to failure, but think the hanging rests are tapping energy and I would delay and reduce the rests until needed. Your forearms and not getting any rest and the time under tension clock keeps ticking. Might have to give this challenge a go.

Inspiring channel! Can you tell me your athletic background? Cos I was always unathletic / but started calesthenics in 40s several times and kept injuring myself / never actually got to a muscle up …

Have you ever had any injuries, such as Golfer's elbow?
@funwithcalisthenics5 ай бұрын
Fortunately not, lucky I guess. Having said that, I do try and build up slowly, and I rest for a few days if I do feel any unusual pains.

Take a deep breath and hold and do as many as you can, then exhale and hang then inhale hold and do as much as you can!

@@iSwearToCodI couldn’t do that, unless I was only doing a few reps. Always good to breathe I think.

It’s important to keep breathing as they set takes a while.
