Road King Mustang vs Ebay seat

Im swapping my Mustang Seat for an ebay special. Huge mistake or ????

Loved my Mustang seat. Definitely would’ve left it on. Had one on my last three bikes. Best seat for comfort in my opinion.

Thanks for the feedback Bobby. I agree the mustang is far more comfortable and provides better back support. I am most like going to get the farm in the cheap seat replaced. I kept Mustang so I can swap for longer rides.

Thanks for sharing video, you could drill a hole say 3/4" in plastic seat pan along side or in front of clip to access nuts in strategic area as to not effect seat pan durability maybe use stubby step bit if you have one handy, just a thought. I'm looking for mustang seat for my 05 EGC at present time, If ebay seat doesn't hold up you could be opted for 1" shorter rear shock and use mustang seat. I've found them to be very comfortable for longer rides. Good luck on solution. Ride On.

Good idea on drilling that hole, Im thinking a spade bit toward the base just might work. I need to do some homework to see what type of foam is used on the mustang seats, if its not too expensive, i might just order it and have the kid down the block from me replace the cheap stuff with it. Lets see how it goes after i put some miles on it. thanks for watching and the suggestion.

Nice 👍 need to invest in some nutserts would for the seat . If that foam not as dence as the mustang seat probably not going hold up long curious to see after couple 1000s miles

Nutserts, thats what i need, never heard of them but google'd them and yes sir going to get those on order asap. Im using trim clips at the moment, they are actually holding better then the bolts were but the nutserts are exactly what i was looking for.

My brother was in the same boat. he bought a nice pair of Red Wing boots that have a nice thick sole and heel. problem solved

Thanks for watching. I like the way they both look, honestly it was all about the width of the seat and my short legs. This ebay deal follows the lines a little more but ultimately, when I go on longer rides, the Mustang goes back on. Until i can get better foam at least. I appreciate the feedback.
