Home Free did it again! This is simply amazing! What a fun video!! How beautifully done! While watching this video, the older Home Free videos also came to my mind where Home Free is also in the church. That made me laugh even more. 😂I am alone, but I think if others saw me then, they would think there was something wrong with me. 😅😊 Tim really has the voice for it, I don't know what you call it, but I call it "story telling singing". And as always great singing, the perfect harmony and background vocals, incredible bass and the inhumanly good beatboxing

Rob is the best whistler I've ever heard. Choosing Tim for the lead on this is perfect. Tim cut his hair right after the lockdown ended. That's him in the back row. For some reason, the animators didn't use dark hair on Tim or Chance. Thank you, for a fun reaction. I subscribed to you a long time ago. If I could do it again to help you get to 10k I would.

Would imagine I've heard Ray Stevens, at some point, but knew nothing of this song. Very enjoyable seeing you, not only be very familiar with it, but for it to spark such strong memories. (Another reactor shared their experience with a squirrel that got loose, went crazy in their house.) Home Free songs are so varied, a rollercoaster of emotions from one to the next. I've always loved Ray Stevens. He's noted for his novelty songs ("Along Came Jones", "Sittin' Up with the Dead") and he has a wonderful album of gospel songs. He had a summer replacement show (1970?) that also had Mama Cass & Steve Martin. I think he'd like their rendition of it. Just the name of the "First Self-Righteous Church" always makes me laugh. Great reaction. I believe the three in the back are from left to right Austin, Rob and Tim (hair looks a little grayish like Tim’s hair) and the ones in front are Chance on the left and Adam on the right. It’s funny they do look like George and Judy Jetson and the boy looks like Bam-Bam. You should check out Ray Stevens who originally did this song. He also has a song called “The Streak” and “It’s Me Again Margaret”. The way he performs is great.

PAPPY, HANNAH-BARBERA STUDIO DID THE ANIMATION. SINCE H-B CHARACTERS WERE DRAWN, ANYONE ELSE DOING IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COPYRIGHTED. HOW MANY "EASTER EGG" SURPRISES CAN YOU FIND. INCLUDING REFERENCE TO THE SIMPSONS IN THE SONG TITLE. THIS WAS BASED ON A TRUE STORY THAT HAPPENED AT THE FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH IN POPLARVILLE MISSISSIPPI IN 1799. THE SQUIRREL REALLY DID SPARK A REVIVAL. RAY STEVENS TWEETED ABOUT HF'S COVER OF HIS SONG THE SAME DAY IT PREMIERED GIVING HIS APPROVAL.

Actually a HF fan figured out the references to almost all the characters in the video. They're all from cartoons or animated films. Yes, that's a reference to George Jetson, with some small changes. The characters playing HF have different colored hair than they do IRL, but you can still make them out (for the most part anyway). Just like the other characters who have small differences but are still close enough to understand the reference if you're familiar with the character. It was Adam next to Chance in the front and Tim is the one in the back right. You got the other's right. Thanks for the reaction!

BTW -- that wasn't a combination of the Jetsons with others. Those ARE the Jetsons, just with different hair colors and clothing. Also, the grandpa at the beginning was Mr Spacely. The grandma is the jetson grandma. The boy is Elroy.

I just don't get the hair color choices they made for the animated version of the guys... Austin is closest - his hair appears in videos (I haven't seen them in person) to be a light auburn. Chance's hair is a medium to dark brown, but they made him blond? Animated Tim went completely gray, apparently. In the videos I've seen Adam looks to have dark blond hair - what my mom used to call "dishwater blond", but the animated version has dark brown hair? It was Chance and Adam that threw me the most...

George Jetson's wife Jane in the original cartoon had red hair, not blond like his daughter Judy. To me the little boy with the squirrel comes closest to looking like Bam-Bam Rubble from the Flintstones.
