haha, it seems you are a fan of the side topspin serve too. it’s really effective!

How do you warm up before an event like this? It always helps me to have a partner who will get me through the usual drills and a couple of games to loosen up. Once you were up a couple of games in the first match I was looking to see you relax in the 3rd game. You do well with returns! I like how you make a small step before the ball is served to you. I think your recovery after serving could be a lot cleaner. You do a series of mini steps. With that said you have clearly made it a focus to be ready and against the first guy it was obvious you had this advantage. Lastly I think adding half long and short serves would really benefit you. Just too much to the backhand. Some will just turn the corner on you all day. You are good at looping backspin so that should be part of the game too.

Yeah definitely playing exercises and serve receive is my favorite way to warm up. I already widened my serve system. At the moment I enjoy most to train with people way better than me because that exposes my weaknesses. Stuff that would not get punished by players my level or below.

Nices games and its going good for you with beating the first two players. Against defenders u need to find the right balance of not playing too risky but finishing a good ball hard enough so that it wont come back. And for finishing high balls u def can striker harder but most importantly u need to be less predictable, its super easy to see where u gonna topspin to, u never play down the line or "fade" with ur racket making ur opponent think ur smashing diagonal while in fact ur smashing it down the line. Its not hard to do with high balls so def. work on that. And also when ur opponent is waiting for ur smash 3meters back, play the corners and angles, dont just feed him where he waits for it.

Just checked it again, I wanted to make sure you can hear the TT sounds well because many people said that’s what they want. If you turn it louder overall it should be fine. Hope it works, will double check now as I sit on the week 22/2 episode at the moment.

Curious how you developed your serve?

I wanted a serve that increases the probability of a long receive to my backhand with no backspin. Then I started practicing this one with side/topspin to the long backhand. Just practiced it a lot and now also some variations of it.

You seem to record everything, do people complain sometimes ? Or do you just ask if it is ok to record and then set up your phone ir camera?

I think on public events technically you´re allowed to film. that being said if someone asks me to not film I´ll off course respect it. People are cool with it though. Many ask if they can have the recording or what the name of the youtube channel is.
