My 5x5 pb is around 2:10.000 I thing subscriber solving series would go so hard my idea would be like a zoom call though and for prob the 3rd time Never Gonna Give You Up great song/meme and to top it all off a question have you ever built/done something so cool that you just told everyone you meet or something like that.

Sub 20 is definitely harder than sub-3. i will say however, being sub-20 generally speaking means your foundational look-ahead is good enough to start thinking about going faster on bigger cubes so personally (I'm not the one with a goal here lol) i would stick to 3x3 a little bit longer. Regardless, lookahead and step-planning on larger cubes is a completely different skill than 3x3 and it will just take time to learn some new mechanics. Good luck, as always w p much all events, turn a little slower and focus on the fundamentals all the way!

Good luck on sub 3 man! sub 3 is definetly easier than sub 20 on 3x3! My favorite song is We are cubers.

@@WillCuber100 I agree, my best in competition is actually 3 minutes flat and before a month ago, i couldn't beat that record... Then it kinda just happened, now my PB is 2:30! And just became sub-20 on 3x3

3:43 I noticed that you do M, and then rotate to solve that cross. It's much faster to do L R', and then regrip instead. Also, for big cubes (like 5x5), M moves are riskier when turning very fast, say, 6-8 tps. Edit: 3:45 wtf????? (no offense)

Hardware is very important for 5x5. I had a non magnetic 5x5 and averaged above 3 min, but the day that I got a magnetic 5x5 my average dropped to 2 and a half min.

My 5 by 5 pb is 2 mins and 32 seconds. Also here is a tip for learning full oll. If your already really good at 2 look oll you could learn 14 algorithms to solve the top color cross with your last f2l pair and always have a solved yellow cross. So instead of learning 57 algorithms you would only have to learn 14. And my favorite song is Tingmans 80's cubing theme song.

I am already Sub 2:30, I Am on road to Sub 20, my 5x5 Pb Is 1:55.98 I also once done a 1:59 Seconds Solve on 5x5, there are some tips for you to improve: 1. Practice Look Ahead don't pause between Centers and edges. 2. Use Yau Method It Makes Edge Pairing Look ahead Very Easy. 3. Switch Your Cube, I just use the Moyu Meilong 5x5 which is only less then 3$, I also have a bad magic cube 5x5 which is 2$ then I switched to meilong and I improved my times by almost 30 to 40 seconds!!! 4. If you are not getting better at lookahead, then just Turn Faster. 5. Atleast learn 1 or 2 Last 2 Edges Algorithms. 5. Also learn Last 2 Centers Cases, and also use advanced center techniques like T, Square, Line/Bars Cases and more you can learn it by J Perm.

I started solving the 5x5 two weeks ago and without much practice I solved right now on 7min 21s. Pretty slow, but I'm just having fun. Even I'm not to focused on the speed cubing on with 3x3. I average 41s when warm up just using F2L and a bit modified beginners method for last layer... Now days i prefer the 4x4 just for the very similar approach with the 5x5, the easiest turning and the posibility of both parity cases to play. But the 5x5 have a funniest center build. I'm thinking about buy a Mastermophyx to try something diferent but similar. I don't see the 3x3 shape that it's supposed to have and I want to see it closer on vacation time.

You should get sub 1:30.00 on 4x4 before you get sub 3 minutes on 5x5. It works, I have only been cubing for 4 noinths and am sub 1 minute on 5x5 and sub 9 on 3x3.

Thats the big issue... I can solve the 4x4 in 1:15 typically without using yaux. however I struggle with 5x5. Not sure if more pieces mess me up, or if im better with my 4x4 colors (since I am partially colorblind)
