Plus the women’s competition tends to be much more intense and close than the men’s. Nothing against the men’s Games, but the women are always battling for the next spot in a close race.

Scientifically it's because there's no testosterone. In every field boys are more brash then women, it's the competitive drive. I do martial arts and you find the guys always go at each other hardcore. Women there are strong too, but there's more care and technical fighting put in. Not just butting heads. There are noble guys too, but more often than not it's pure hormone difference.

@jon arthur thanks for apologising, totally okay! I’m not gonna fail my degree(thanks for that tho), I’m still learning and am only an aspiring CrossFit athlete, I am sure you are far better than me in certain elements. I don’t believe all high level athletes are natty, ofc that’s impossible but I do strongly believe that CrossFit has one of the most strict drugs testing protocol for elite athletes (eg Ricky Garard) I can’t speak for backgrounds I don’t have any experience in but I will make sure to educate myself upon matters I don’t understand, as I’m sure you will too! I believe that a huge amount of work goes in to becoming an elite athlete and those who use PEDS in a competitive environment/sport discredit all the hard work natty athletes put in. I was simply saying that I believe wholeheartedly Sara is fully natty and that years of work has gone into excelling at her chosen sport and that she is a real athlete who puts in the hours. I hope that you have a good CrossFit career and I know that I myself with stay natty and get fitter with grind and hard work as I’m sure you will too and I will continue to educate myself on these kinds of subjects that I “don’t know anything about” have a good one😁🖖

As much as we'd all like to see that, Tia and Kara ain't going quietly or politely. In 2017 Kara figured it out. She knows she can win the Games.
@jakwath6 жыл бұрын
true.. heck we could still even see Ence,Briggs or Even Camille maybe even a new name surprise us. But one thing I've noticed with the women as opposed to the men, is the point margins... the women's are much tighter. There were only 80 pts difference between Katrin(5th place) and Tia(1st) contrast with over 200 pts difference between Fraser(1st place) and Fikowski(2nd)...this makes the possibility of a womens Icelandic sweep plausible even with Tia/Kara having good event wins.

Sigmundsdottir is so strong, funny, an funky with her language- my idol amongst all the crossfit women- she is just amazing - all three are great but Sara does it for me- training, inspiration, motivation and something to live for- a real fit, down to earth Supreme Leader of Valkyries. I would say Amazonian but they are mainly purely strength, Valkyries are versatile or have more areas as I see it that are strong in.

Tempo squats are used to increase stability and to improve the way an athlete handles heavy weights on his/her back. Air squats with bends are a totally different movement.
