im a retired american trucker. ive pulled triples in the mountains of the west coast for 30 years. ive went everrywhere they asked me to go. ive had the living shit scared out of me so many times i cant remember most. ive had my sets spin around 360 degrees so many times in the middle of the highway it seems ridiculous. Ive ALWAYS wanted to run the Austrailian road trains. i grew up 5 blocks from Kenworth. id give ANYTHING to run a big train acrossed the outback. id pay all my own travel and do it for free. i met an italian gentleman one time that had actually done it. he said it was a 3 man team. the passenger seat was always filled with a man with a shotgun ready to shoot "roos" . i guess they end up in the radiator and shut the trucks down in the middle of nowhere. wow. I wanna do that. If you know anyone who may give me a drive test let me know. im serious! i know many american truckers who want the sa,me thing. im a good mechanic. the us army says im an 'expert' rifleman. how fun would that be!!!!! omg!

Great video Johnno, loved the footage of Little Topar!! I showed my 22 year old son because when he was 15, I flew with him to Brisbane and drove a b double back to Perth. We stayed overnight at Little Topar and he freaked out because he had ordered a pork chop and vegetables and when it came out there were two plates one had the chop that was as big as the plate and the other had the veggies. Great roadhouse!!! Hope it is still the same....

Hi John. Thanks for all the cool content. We are also having a heat wave in Cape Town South Africa. I drove a peterbilt 379 in America and really enjoyed it. Wasn’t lucky enough to try a K W as well but seems like a great truck. The road trains of Aus have always interested me. Amazing vehicles. I follow a couple of Aussies on KZbin and it seems there are a lot of flies in Aus. What’s the deal. Is it the heat. Regards Dave

Oh yeah there are flies everywhere and I hate them. I don't don't want. Just can't stand them landing on me. Yes it's hot in WA but it's a dry heat compared to North West Queensland where it's very humid.

Hi Johnno, now back a bit to Madura in WA. Back in December 69 when I came thru there last,there was just a garage that closed up shop at 4pm,you had to wash with Saltwater soap We spent the night there and slept between the tri’s after talking to the truck driver as it was a non sleeper unit,the driver slept up the front Looks like I’ll have to come over and buy a vehicle and do my own final drive around Australia and catch up w you and the homeless trucks and the travelling jackaroo this year I love being with you on these video’s to a lot of places I’ve been like Wilcannia to name of many places. Keep up the good work

David Hunn... Well, I learned something today, that Eucla is more than just a roadhouse and police station. The last time I crossed the Eyre Hwy completely was in 1979 when I left WA for Qld. Have been as far as the Border Village many times over the years, but never ventured across the border. Thanks Johnno. 🙂 PS: Excellent drone work. Dumb question sorry. Are the an and b trailers interchangeable? Can you stick the dolly under both and tow trailers with both? Or are they dedicated units?

Yes you can put the dolly under the A or B trailer but what you tow after that may not be the best.

I guess what I was getting at was , when you hook everything back up, do you have a procedure , or the last trailer becomes the front one? I couldn’t imagine you wanting to be wasting too much effort in big heat! Great video as always. Thanks for your efforts 👍
