Ironic that coffee stops are often to be found at petrol stations

I prefer the 'real' coffee shops!

Your trip is much like what the other guy living in kalgoolie does who as an EV channel does (Down Under EV Adventures). He does many stops to enjoy the trip and do some sightseeing.

On the way I did see a few other EVs going in the opposite direction. A Model S (who waved), an MG ZS EV and an Atto 3. The WA EV Network has opened up that route nicely

nigel, if taking a different route home then do a video anyway but next time put a map of area so people get a context of where you are. but not to detailed for privacy

Really only one route to take - the Great Eastern Highway from Perth to Coolgardie and then go into Boulder and Kalgoorlie. Could go the looong way round down through Norseman, Esperance direction, then Albany and back up the SW Highway to Perth but I dont have the time for that

Yes, longer trips do happen. Good to be retired, as in my experience -- charging is not always totally predictable. Quees, brake downs, what have you. Takes time. In beautiful Australia, in comfort, --- not too much to complain. Just a bit of planning before you go. What a life. Thank You, Nigel. Greetings.

Yeah it's a real step forward having to plan your stops so carefully and being tied to them isn't it? I mean I jump in my 4wd, drive for hours and pretty much every town has at least one 24 hr fuel station and likely more. Even the relatively isolated area we just went to had an unmanned fuel point that you could access at any time. When I'm going away any extra time I spend travelling is time I don't get at where I want to be.
