No, you would not wanna live in Bled, it is way too crowded in the summer months. But there are two towns near Bled - Radovljica and Lesce, only about 8k population both combined. Many (mostly wealthy) people moved there in the last few years from the capital - only 30 minutes drive, but the air is much cleaner, the mountains are close and the views are spectacular.

Bjorn, you make me wanna go there! Next week we travel from Bulgaria to Zagreb- test drive M3 and MY, than Plitvice lakes , Split and Dubrovnik- the places you've missed this trip! BTW, last night re-watched your EU trip 7 years ago! Sweet

will join the chorus and thank Bjorn and his gracious wife for the lovely sample of the serenity afforded lakeside in Bled. (disappointed along with you that an "expired" document kept you from entering Croatia)

Seriously: good Asian food (Thai, Japanese, Korean, Chinese) when you are traveling is fantastic. Local food can be nice but traditional kitchens in countries like Germany, France, Poland tend to be quite heavy.

France no , Poland it depends what you order , Czech very fatty haha but great beer and wine

Great to see such a beautiful place. FYI I was ordering a 3 phase 22kW portable charger from a business in Lithuania, and suddenly noticed that you had recently bought the same and left a review. It’s a small world, my friend. I was wanting to put my faith and cash into a Euro product. (Jim in Australia)

It's normal that your wife prefers Asian food, my gf is exactly the same. Maybe you can convince her to eat a Bratwurst or Rösti from time to time 😉 keep up the great videos.

You could work for the Bled tourist board! Never heard of the place before but definitely want to go now (and in a Tesla when mine arrives). Saw the comment about local food too (valid point I guess) - nicely explained though by you.

All Super bjorn! But you can’t say Italian food is fattier than Thai food.......... please (Mediterranean diet is one of the healthiest)
@peterkomis96773 жыл бұрын
Eh it really depends. Just because it's fatty dosen't make it unhealthy, that is a misconception. Olive oil is very healthy. But if you eat risotto alla milanese or Arancini every day that's not healthy either.
@edoardofacco53943 жыл бұрын
@@peterkomis9677 yes but in general oriental cuisine use to fridge lot of dishes. In general mediterrean cuisine no.

Kranjska klobasa (Carnolian sausage); when you bite in, the fat should squirt in your nose. Else it's not autentic experience. :-))) This fancy dishes like salad with kranjska klobasa pre sliced in pieces. OMG. What they are thinking. It is like they would bring you a medium rare steak pre cut. And this sausage goes together with wine or sauerkraut. Not salad.

It's not Bled cake at all. It's an old Hungarian cake. Calling it Bled Cake is like saying Oslo is in Sweden. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cremeschnitte

Do you want me to search for the whole history, or will you beleive me if I say in 1840 István Czifra has written the first recipe, then in the end of 18th century József Dobos has used the recipe to make some different cakes. I'm Hungarian, please do not ask me to prove these two persons were Hungarian, just because you have read a short version of the history on a page, what I have linked, and it's international to make it easy to read for people like you. Have a great day!
