Glacier beautiful place!!!!!!!!!!!! On a hike to Glacier Meadows about 5 miles into it you come across a creek you have to get across. I tried the wrong tree laying across it and broke my ankle, so I have a story to tell I will never forget. The Badlands are also cool to see. Enjoy the road and stay safe.

So i see the busted glass. We were at Slough campground when our back glass broke. The camp host said it is the fluctuation of temperatures that can make the glass ‘brittle’ and break with slamming doors or hitting it with something. Great memories no matter what. Safe travels!

Our windshield had a 500.00 deductible, we were In Quartszite AZ for the Big tent event found a guy that gave us a good deal. They are just sitting on the side of the rd ready to fix your windshields.

This may sound crazy but truly works really good. I'm a truck driver as well as an RVer and I do this quite often to my windshield to help make it clean easier... When you have some down time, get a good liquid car polish like Meguiars or something equivalent. Apply it to the whole windshield and buff off really good. As long as done thoroughly you will have no wipe or glare marks and it does not leave any unwanted residue. Just like paint on a car it leaves a slick protected surface for the rain to bead off of and the bugs and road grime is a breeze to get off. Also allows your wipers to operate smoother and quieter against the glass. Works better than any rain x product that I have tried. Love watching your videos. Through your videos you all have actually inspired my wife and I and we went and bought a class A RV. Take care and God Bless!

We put the same stuff in our gray water we use in our black water to curb the smell, only in smaller amounts. Another thing to consider is that if you don’t use a P trap occasionally the water will evaporate allowing the smell in. Bugs, bugs and more bugs oh how we love bugs. We use the window cleaner that has bug off in it. We put it in the window washing reservoir and I keep small sprayer with the same solution in the RV. It helps but it is far from perfect. Good luck on your travels and maybe one day our paths will cross.

I use rainx windshield wash fluid. The bug version or orange one. Its sold a Walmart and auto stores. Over time as you use it to clean your windows it adds another layer of rainx. I can drive in the rain without using my wipers.

Broken toes often here. Nothing the ER can do except wrap it and try to stay off of it for a while. Sturdy sole on shoes that don't bend help alot. We do the same with our tanks and lines for that smell... bleach and rinse out.

The water in traps evaporates when not used allowing odors from the tank to come into the RV. I have issues with my washing machine's trap when not used for a while. I put Happy Camper in both the tanks. I detail all my windows yearly by stripping all the road grim off with 0000 steel wool then treat with Rain X once clean. It makes clean bugs off easier.

I've always shied away from putting bleach in my tanks because it will ruin your rubber seals. I usually use a gray water treatment to keep the smells down. Love your channel ❤️ thanks for sharing

We ceramic coat our windshields! The product we use is IGL Window...it makes clean up crazy easy but even better is how its hydrophobics help improve your visibility in rain!

We recently read that Dawn and water in a spray bottle would work. We didn't have a mixture rate so I just filled a spray bottle (one that sprays far) more than half with water and squirted some Dawn into it. I shook it to mix it and we sprayed it onto the windshield. We rubbed it in with a soft car wash brush and the bugs came off so easy!! We were so impressed that we now keep that mixture with us when we travel. I would say to not make the mixture too heavy, more watery is best to keep streaks down.

Yes, but we found out the hard way you can put too muchin. Be sparing with the rainX. If you put to much in the washer fluid it will film up and not wipe clean. So go easy on it. But yes it does help keep the bugs from sticking so much

I've seen a video of an RV window needing to be replaced and it was pricey unfortunately. He did to through his insurance which helped a lot. I LOVE green Olives too!!!!!

Michael, for your windshield pretreatment for bugs & rain, F11 works great on everything(nose cap, exterior body, counter tops) but is expensive. RejeX works like F11 at half the price. Or just use a thin coat of wax but make sure your windshield is cool and in the shade when applied. Use the above with a good windshield cleaner fluid like RainX bug/road grim cleaner. With all that I mentioned, you'll still have to clean bug splats off your windshield while traveling, it just won't take as long and will be a lot easier to clean. Hope this helps bud. BTW, really enjoyed the early morning (magic hour) scene at Yellowstone in the last episode. Safe Travels Y'all ☕️

We have a Dodge Promaster van, huge windshield & always lots of bug guts so when we get to the truck stops, we start fueling and then spray Windex on the windshield so it can start working on all the junk, and then when we use the cleaning solution and the windshield squeegee the dried up bugs come off super easy. Hope that helps, y'all will have to stock up on some Windex though 😃

Bugs-n-All. Greatest buff remover we have come across. We travel around US all summer in our coach and every time I fill up I spray the front of the motor home including windshield. Let it sit for about 5 minutes or so then spray off. Another great tip is to hookup a 50ft collapsible hose to your outdoor shower in your water bay. That is what I use to spray off the coach. Both these tips came from David Bott from outside our bubble! God Bless and safe travels!

Its according to where the break is on her toe is if they will just buddy it to the toe next to it or do surgery to stabilize the bone so it doesn't cause toe deformity and pain down the road. Good luck getting the bugs off your windshield and getting it fixed.

They can give her a boot or a walking shoe. You’ve probably seen them the bottom is rounded out so it keeps the weight off of certain areas making it easier to walk she will still have pain but it’ll make it easier. I had one when I broke my foot and I put them on many people when I worked as an ortho nurse

Use the liquid rainX clean off first apply on windshield in shed and cool windshield . Aplly and buff . Works best if you aplly it in the evening. The more you use it the more it works.

Best thing for getting rid of the 'windshield' bugs is Peroxide. Spray it (Walmart sells peroxide in a spray bottle) on the window and wipe away the bugs! Hubby uses it on the windshield on the Harley and now on the windshield on the Motor Coach!

Ughhhh this video wasn't long enough 😢. I love following your travels! My family had a motor home while I was growing up because we were military and my mom liked going back to her hometown during the summers when we were stateside. She said she used Windex and a long handle broom type brush that we used to wash the motor home, to also scrub the Windows clean from the bugs but she also said they used the windshield wipers and fluid religiously. I carry my own windshield squeegee since the truck stop ones are usually nasty and have diesel fuel in them from people using them to wash their overflow off. Ok.. so I use my own squeegee, along with 2 small vegetable sprayers from Home Depot. One is full of windex and can be pumped up and sprayed high up on windshield. The other sprayer is full of deionized water for a spot free rinse. Only takes a couple of minutes, and it comes out perfect. If you don't have a deionizer (DR spotless rinse system) you can use store bought distilled water (same thing really).

If you get baking soda and vinegar put tow to three tbs soda a cup of vinegar down the wash basin pour some boiling water leave it for about five minute wash down with cold water.you can apply it once a week if needed.good luck .

Ones a week just put a glass of water down the drain to fill the trap. And for the windows use rainx yes they will spread more when they hit. Also what works great to remove bugs is dryer sheets get it wet and they fall right off.

Use RainX on the windshield. But don't do it very often. Cause it will over time put to much of a film on the glass. We use to Detail trucks, cars for a Company. And I used it on our RV.

There are many bug hatches throughout the summer here in Montana and most of us have cracked windshields especially in winter. rainX helps in rain and snow ... it doesn’t stick on the windshield. But it doesn’t keep the bug stuff from sticking. Just have to wash I guess.!

Make sure you have windshield coverage on your vehicles....if not, put it on asap. A new Motorhome windshield can cost thousands! 😔 We use Happy Camper down our drains as soon as they start to smell.....if not before.

The first year we had our RV, we found that it was the dishwater with food particles that made our gray tank smell really bad. For several years, we have used a dishpan and emptied it outside and never put dishwater down our drain. This is sometimes inconvenient, but we have never had any problems since then with the horrible gray tank smell.

As others noted , putting bleach in the tanks is bad for the rubber seals on valves and sensors. We use the GEO method (Dawn dish soap and liquid (or not) Calgon water softener), which has worked well. Also, does your MH have a rear rock/mud flap? We found that ours was too close to the ground and kicked up a lot of rocks on our toad's windshield.

For your toe, I would suggest just splint it to another toe. I'm a nurse and unless the toe needs some sort of surgical intervention that's honestly all we do for broken/swollen toes. Google "buddy toe wrap" (that's what we call it) and you'll find instructions on how to do it. I hope this helps & your toe gets better

Great Video, I have found it to be much easier to clean off the bug's if you spray aerosol can of window cleaner on first let it set for a minute then use the brush it cleans the bugs off faster and easier

Oh my GOSH! I love that gas station! With silo looking pumps! That's so neat! Poor Laine with her toe. I dropped a BIG BLOCK OF OAK WOOD on my big toe, loading our outdoor wood stove back in Indiana. And shattered the bones in it. And had to have it operated on. I pray that she didn't break it. In a minor fracture. The Foot Doctor said that they tape the bad toe and the one beside it together. To steady it while it heals. She might try that. Poor Laine.

I know this post is late, but they can do something for a broken toe (the big toe anyway). I broke mine many years ago, they did surgery and put two pins in it to repair the bone. That toe healed nicely as I can bend it and everything. Two years ago I broke the other big toe (yes I am a klutz!) and this doctor did not perform surgery and said it will heal on it's one. I can't bend it and it gives me problems. My doctor said they should have done the surgery to fix it. BTW I enjoy your videos 😃. We are planning on doing more RV'ing this year as I am retiring. Not quite full time as we still want a home to come back to. We bought a 33 ft RV last summer.

Excited to see your future Glacier videos. We plan to go there next September so looking for advice on traveling through the park by motorhome. We have a 28ft Winnebago and do not have a car, just the RV. is it doable to drive through the park by motorhome? Also would love feedback on camping in the park. Thanks in advance. Hope the toe doesn’t slow you guys down. Love your adventures, we had a cracked windshield also, insurance covered it so hope yours does as well.

No you won’t be able to take “going to the sun” road in your RV. No RVs of any kind or size are allowed. It’s a very narrow road that if we had our old dually truck I would be very nervous in on that road. You will have to park it and then take the bus system. Depending on what side your coming from to get to Glacier, I would pick either St Mary’s on the East or Apgar on the West. Hope that helps.

Wow cool video hope your wife’s toe heals okay as for your windshield on your RV there was one KZbinr Who has a 2004 coachman and one his front windshields broke it cost $2000 to fix lucky he had insurance but it still cost him a $500 deductible out-of-pocket for his share of the new windshield in the windshield on your jeep hopefully it does not have a rain sensor if it does that will be very pricey to replace good luck👍🏻😁

When I start to fuel up, I soak my windshield with bug windshield cleaner, and by the time I’m fueled up, the bugs come off easily.

Don’t know about the RV but we are a family of Jeep Wrangler family and you will always have a cracked windshield on the Jeep. My daughter and husband both have wranglers and my daughters replaced her windshield that had been cracked for a year and the very next day a rock cracked it again, the next day. Unbelievable. My husbands windshields been cracked for about 14 months and he still hasn’t gotten it fixed. Just consider it character😃

i would use a razor blade to scrape the bugs off . Then use nu finish car polish on glass works better then rainx

First time I ever removed my jeep doors, I dropped one of the doors on my big toe, it hurt so bad! I broke my toe and bent the door up. Toe heeled up with no medical care , door needed a body shop guy. If ya ever remove the doors, be cautious!

From Jon's wife: Laine can do a hot/cold treatment on her foot that has the hurt toe. Get two buckets, large enough to immerse her foot. In one, put very warm water, almost hot (but not scalding); in the other, put ice (yes,with ice) cold water. Now starting with the hot, Laine needs to immerse her foot into the hot water for 3 MINUTES keeping the water hot by adding more hot water as needed. Then immediately, immerse her foot in the cold water for 30 seconds. Don't vary on the times or else you'll change the physiological response. Do these steps 3 times ending with the cold immersion and try to stay off her injured toe as much as possible. Try to do this twice a day, but at least once a day. Y'all need to learn how to be your body's own personal doctor using natural remedies. Love watching your videos - I feel inspired.

That windshield will probably set you back 2500.00. If your insurance doesn't cover glass I would add to the policy. It's about 4000 -5000.00 for both sides

I don't know who you have for insurance on your vehicles but most will replace/repair your windshield for $zero. Look on the lower right hand corner of your windshield and there is a number. You will need that number to get the right ones. If I remember correctly the windshield cost around 4 thousand dollars. If I ever have mine replaced again I'm using GUARDIAN the ones who put those in . They will have to get the windshield from them anyway. I dont how long you plan on being home but you need to start now and get a plan. This isn't like your jeep windshield . They need to ship it to you and who puts it will have schedule it and so on. I've had both mine replaced , RV and truck at the same time. I need to tell you something you are doing wrong that I noticed today watching this video. You should use the palm of your hand to push in the parking brake. They have so much force on kick back to break fingers. I was taught to use the palm of my hand always. It's your fingers and it's easy to make it a habit to use your palm. Another great video and I hope I was helpful. Until next time. Don
