The organ in Luray Caverns actually is hooked up to the Stalactites and stalagmites and the music produced are from the sounds they give off. Its pretty great, I went there with my family many many years ago. Great video.

I was there in 1956 with my first grade class just before we headed to Dorney Park for the rest of the end-of-year celebration. I loved it! I went there again in 1974 and how badly it had been allowed to fall into disrepair was disheartening. Some of the push-buttons didn't work. There was dust everywhere. Glad to see they cleaned it up since then!

I have been to this place a bunch of times, as it is not too far of a drive from my home. The first time it was my kids and me, and we were amazed. Since then, I have brought my wife, then my father, then my mother. I always let the person who has not been there yet go in first. Everyone has the same exact reaction as you did when they open the door. It is simply "WOW". Then when you start looking through it and seeing all of the details, it really comes alive. There are a lot of things you can't get from a video, such as the beautiful stained glass windows in some of the buildings. The night scene is cool too, as you start hearing crickets, and seeing the lights come on in many of the houses. There is also an airport, churches, taverns, ski slopes, hunters, and on and on and on. Every time I go I notice something that I didn't notice on my previous visits. The admission price is also very cheap IMO. Worth every penny. The gift shop is also reasonable in that they don't try to gouge you on little souvenirs or things for the kids. Thank you for the video!! I hope it inspires people to check the place out!!!

Love to see our local Berks County attractions highlighted! If you're still up this way, hit up Crystal Cave in Kutztown, the Pagoda and fire tower up on Mt Penn overlooking Reading, the remains of Dreamland Park, where the infamous Dreamland Park murders took place, and other stuff. We're got a lot to see, including the Kutztown Folk Festival in July! Love to share these sights with you and love your vlogs! ♡ - Monika

Bruggs--There's an article online that indicates the family is looking for a buyer for the facility (2018). I loved going there as a child, and revisiting as an adult (when it had fallen into disrepair) was disheartening. There used to be an outdoor display demonstrating one of the Indian raids in that area.

I was confused when I bought the first Roadside America book and it wasn't about Roadside America ! My parents took me here in 1968 and I was seven. My mind was blown away. I was hooked on roadside attractions. That place started in the 30s by Laurence Gieringer. He built all the buildings you saw in there. His wife and daughter built all the trees. I want Toyland to look like that someday if I can ever find some backers to build a bigger building for Toyland. An awesome vlog Jacob !!!!

I remember going to something similar to this in west Virginia. when me and my mom went in they had a curtain and thinking it was just a curtain I ran through it but found out the hard way there was a oak door behind the curtain. I ended up with bloody nose but I do remember enjoying the little town set ups.

I was born and raised about 20 miles from there, and let me tell you I got goosebumps watching your video. I have been going there my whole childhood and brought my children there every year when I go back home. I just got back last week and my dad told me Roadside America closed and I was devastated. I knew they were going through financial trouble. Please tell me if this is an older video. I didn't even try to get there this time cause like I said I heard from multiple people that it closed. Thank you, thank you, so much for making this video of one of my favorite childhood memories.
