Great video, thank you! I really enjoy my Ascent Fusion. Went crawling with a friend last weekend. Everywhere his Capra went, my Fusion did too! Really happy with the truck, looks like I'll have to upgrade my tires!

Awesome tire demonstration. When I shop for tires I feel confident going with ProLine. Even their remounted tires and rims are top shelf.

Glad that you did a review on these... My initial thoughts based on photos and your review is that this is going to become the go to tire for trail trucks. The lugs on the Aztek are very similar to the lugs on the Hyrax and given that its offered in the predator compound I think performance will also be similar. The directional pattern on the Aztek in theory should aid in traction in wet conditions, mud, and provide better tracking/stability. However I think the directional pattern will degrade its rock crawling capabilities, but a degraded Hyrax would still be a very capable tire. The other thing I noticed are the side lugs on the Aztek are more substantial than those on the Hyrax which should help with traction in some scenarios. The directional tread pattern will also aid with scale looks. Overall I feel this tire has some real potential looking forward to getting on my TRX.

WOW! Awesome review! Been wanting to get these tires for my Fusion since I'm running Hyrax predator compounds on it! These tires look like they perform way better than the Hyrax, but very interesting to see the long run & if they still perform good! Oh, I also got my Zoskay 45kg servo in my ecto, just waiting on the front diff gears so I can test it out!

For these videos it would be nice to see lesser tires (or older ones like hyrax) failing on a line and then showing the new tires on the same line

You are right! If you watch some of my other tire videos, I will typically do that. But - sometimes life gets in the way and it is not possible.

I picked up those Treal wheels a couple of weeks ago. They look great on the truck. I put Proline BFG Krawlers on them and they are awesome. If you really want to cheat use the proline super swamper bogger 5.25!!! With the redcat you sail over everything!!!!🤪🤪🤪

Hi ! Wondering if these would fit 2.2 wheels. Unfortunately the Aztek only are available for 1.9 I assume.. I need to fit them on 2.2 :/

The 1.9 is the diameter of the wheel, so there is a noticeable difference in diameter there.

Can they compare to the hyrax ? I love the predator compound but found i like G8 in the back for better uphill climbing. Great review too

What tires and inserts would u recommend for crawling ? I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the choices so looking for a few to look into to start

There are so many options because you have to tune them to the exact tire and weight of your vehicle. Tires like these Prolines come with foams already. Just start there. Use some, watch how they work, then adjust from there. Don't overthink it - have fun!

All the comments make the Azteca seem more a trail tire. Do u got a recommendation for the best crawler tread? My rc is a rock pirates frame and element axles and transmission and I have servo and battery mounted on front axle so chassis is gonna be as light as possible and only running aluminum rims for weight but considering brass if I need more weight on axles but I think battery will add plenty to front axle. Any help on this would be great. Or do u still think aztec

@@t.marshall528 My current go-to tires are the Aztek and Trenchers, both in Predator compound. These tires are brand new, so many folks commenting have never run them.

Use a small tube and cut it with a tubing cutter the end should be sharp enough to chuck in a drill and it will cut the rubber with out twisting the tire up

That is exactly what I used! It has seen some use, so perhaps is starting to get a little dull.
