@@closeups7928 no! They just have you pull over to the curb not too close not too far and they want you to reverse back straight and it’s automatic fail if you hit the curb so make sure you don’t hit it lol!

wow this specific video helped me a lot. The things I've learned/re-learned is 1. Keep wheels straight until turn 2. When making a turn at an intersection, enter the yellow before the opening 3.Check left and right while crossing an intersection/show awareness 4. You are allowed to enter the bike lane if turning, just make the necessary lane change checks

TO THOSE WHO ARE ABOUT TO TAKE THE TEST DURING COVID-19!! I took the test on July 6th, Hawthorne DMV, during rush hour, and passed. The test was 10 minutes max. Same type of route, about three right turns and three left turns, just on different types of streets (residential, main street, etc.). I didn’t have to do curbside parking (but this could be different depending on your dmv/test examiner). Overall it was a lot more simple/relaxed than I expected. And for those with expired permits, I recommend bringing in your birth certificate, 2 proofs of residence, all of that business just in case they make you sign up for a new permit bc they made me drive back home to pick up all of that paperwork since my permit expired in April,, it was kinda ridiculous lol. Try not to stress too much, I think the examiner just wants to get out of the car lmao.

just took mine yesterday man when I tell u I was nervous my knees were shaking and I was just so scared I was going to fail but right when I started driving I just focused on staying safe and to just follow the rules of the road , and I passed !! Now and days it’s quick and they are just making sure you are a confident safe driver . Know your hand signals , windshields wipers , blinkers , barking break, etc, just always chin to shoulder check, watch speed , smooth break/ go , left right left before each intersection, full stop at stop sign, always check mirrors, don’t stop past limit line. If you want more tips comment and I will make a video on how to prepare for your test ! ;) Also driving isn’t definitely a privilege! Always be aware of your surroundings and the other drivers ;) good luck to everyone with a test soon !

I’ve been watching every video possible omg my test is tomorrow at this location mid morning! Best of luck to everyone else also preparing for their test. :) Update: I passed! I was so stressed hours before my test but the anxiety really does go away as soon as you start driving. I only had a total of 4 errors, all for the same reason, not moving to the right a tad bit earlier when making right turns. During the test the examiner was so polite and we chatted the whole time, it made the test go by faster. These videos helped tremendously thank you so much!

Look over shoulders the most that really helps u pass don’t be afraid to be dramatic look both ways to and scan ur mirrors , stop b4 stop sighn , inch out slowly , turn blinkers off right when turn even if it’s auto matic

My test is tomorrow. Nervous that I'm gonna make a stupid mistake :( Edit: I passed! It was a little nerve-wracking at first, but once I was on the road for a little bit I was fine. To be honest, my permit test was much more difficult. One important tip I which helped me a lot is to drive around the DMV territory and in nearby residential areas around the same time that your taking the test so that you are prepared for the level of traffic during that time and any tricky spots that might cause you to fail.

You said that even when its a right turn you need to keep your wheels straight until you begin to turn, but my driving instructor told me that you only need to keep your wheels straight if you turn left, but you should turn your wheels into the right turn.

That’s correct, look at the score sheet at the end, the points missed were from left turns turning wheel prematurely

Had my test today at 8.30 am. I passed with only 3 errors! :-) It's easy if you stay calm and follow the rules. Don't stress, it will only lead to errors

@@nene6415 don't be scared and it wasn't to easy but at the same time when you look at it from the outside it is.. Just drive like you normally do. Hint, look around a lot when driving. It will help out tons in the end. Trust. They like that stuff.
