For the past few weeks I have had a burden on my shoulders. This week it got so bad I couldn’t even sit still or sleep. I had to get up out of bed and just cry out to God , I couldn’t even utter the words , but He understands our tears. I got so overwhelmed with a feeling of unrest and just an overall feeling of uneasiness. But after I prayed and cried out to God I slept like a baby. Thank you for this particular fireside chat.

How can I thank you for your precious fireside chat about “worry”. I have some health issues and my husband of 56 years does also. He’s having another heart Cath on Tuesday. He’s had 3 stents for blockage. I worry about him a lot. You helped me to remember that I was not created to worry about my husband children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Trails on Roan Mountain are spectacular. With rhododendrons blooming, you can walk thru tunnels of flowers and come out at an overview of a distant lake. One of our family vacation BEST MEMORIES.

I just love your fireside talks this one tonight especially U2 can make anything feel so much better after listening to you. I have the worry of having cancer they are running test on me now and so far they can’t find anything but they are still running lots of test, I am a believer of God and a child of God and I believe in prayer, but like you said in your fireside talk, we carry that fear knowing in our heart and all we have to do is turn it over to God and he will carry that fear for us, and in the end, he will heal us and make everything better but sometimes I just can’t let it go and I just make myself sick with worry of each test comes back with results. Thank you so much Mike and Karen you make things so much better when I listen to you talk and I love your videos I love the places you go, and I love the things that you show us, U2 are just like a gift from God please pray for me I have a test coming up August 28 I don’t know why they wait so late but I’ve been going through this since 1 May. I agree with Karen. I don't like syrup on my meat and eggs. As far as worry goes I found that once quit messing things up for myself there was a lot less to worry about. Most times you just have to let go and let God take care of it and do your best to not worry. Nobody is perfect though.

Hey Mike, Karen and Big T ….. love watching y’all and we live in TN and our favorite destination is the Smoky Mountains where we camp in the RV and I’m a Realtor here in TN so looking at buying many vacation properties there and help clients buy there as well. I love staying up to date on everything to do there through y’all! We had instant iced tea every night at dinner, and to this day, sweet tea is my favorite drink, but I make my own, and don't like it with lemon. That campground is less than an hour from my home. We usually camp on the lower level, but last year, I camped in that exact spot that you had. I really liked it, and it was good to be right across from the bathroom.

Yes, worry is troublesome at times. I try not to worry but try to rely and trust the LORD in everything. My main "concern" is where this world is headed and all "the lost" in this world, especially those who we know and are close to. Time is short and many don't really know Jesus and His sacrifice for our sins. I appreciate your videos that are a temporary relief from all the above. Thank you for that. My grandmother lived in Hampton, TN on a main road and there was a Roan Mountain sign nearby. They redid the road and I don’t know where her house used to be. I never liked milk and never drank it growing up. I would gag if I tried to drink it. But I love chocolate milk.

Mike and Karen, we had a dairy and we had all the free milk but, no I had to have milk from the store. I liked my cereal but, not with the milk from our tank. I am a worry wart. I turn it over to God, but I do what Karen said, I pick up the burden and start caring it again. My Momma passed October 14, 2022. I am stressed and worried a lot. I am in grief counseling right now. Pray for me to heal. Karen I did have milk for lunch and dinner. Harold and I have been to Roan Mountain twice. One time just Harold and I and for Thanksgiving with the kids and my Momma. Both times we stayed in one of the cabins there. We had a great time both trips. We are coming up to Gatlinburg for Harold’s birthday which is September 6. We are planning on eating dinner at The Peddler. I must call and make reservations. Until next time, Gail Taylor ❤

Glad you were able to get your nice camper and are getting to use it so much but as someone who is unwell I get very nauseous trying to watch you drive to your destination on those curvy roads, I have to close my eyes and tell my family to let me know when you have stopped driving. I miss when you went inside a restaurant and actually sat down and ate a meal and we saw the food you ordered. We traveled to the smokies all the time years ago but now are unable to do so, so we love seeing what’s new in the food world out there. Love your fire side chats, big T and both of you. Boy of boy, do I ever wish I could live your life, a dream life. I'm 70 and still work summers on a golf course to help pay for the expensive Aldi's food and Marathon gas. I drive an old rusted out Chevy pickup that breaks down every year costing me hundreds. It seems that I can never get ahead in this once great country. Things have changed and not for the better.
