Count me in! I buy canned roast beef and I stay away from the ones with gravy, so it's a pretty short list. I've had good luck with both Sam's Butterfield and Great Value, both in beef broth. Combined with a thing of stove top out in the backwoods it makes for a warm, hearty, filling meal, particularly once it's cold out.

Thanks for the run through. I don't care for canned beef but you've given me reason to add it to the pantry. The small cans of tuna are half liquid and half meat. The cats and dogs get tuna water liquid, ack. I'd eat the canned beef liquid. On a budget and calories during SHTF times, the excess liquid might be a consideration. Of course, all or pretty much all (eew to sauerkraut, ymmv) liquids from meat/veg/fruit canned goods can be used.

Count me in. Hey - great comparison work here! Thank you for your research. Oddly, I have never found Butterfield Roast Beef in any grocery store here in central NC. Just checked online. Walmart does NOT report any inventory. Amazon DOES have these in stock and the price is ridiculously high! I’ve purchased the Great Value brand and found the flavor to be very acceptable. I’ve stacked a bunch and need to replenish soon. Hey, also note that the Great Value Corned Beef happens to be quite delish. I brown that up in a skillet and add 2 fresh eggs….yum!

This channel is the "project farm" of foods! Great video! Kroger (where I shop) has the lowest prices on the products but the Kroger brand products definitely are noticeably lower quality than the name brands. I have noticed this changing lately with name brands resorting to tricks like lots of gravy with very little product, or a very nice photo but using what's in the can NO WAY to make the product look like the photo!
