I do the same thing when I cook, I'm always smelling the ingredients. Especially the herbs and garlic. One of my favorite ingredients I love to smell all the time when I use it, is cardamom.

And that's what someone with a good sense of fragrance and flavor does! I taught my daughter to close her eyes and smell the ingredients and picture if they will blend well into what she wants to prepare!

I’ll have to try this recipe. We like something similar. We get the little “baby gold” potatoes, wash and quarter them. Put them in a ziplock bag with a tablespoon or so of olive oil, garlic, Parmesan, and a spice blend like Emeril’s Essence, Country Bob’s, Lawry’s, or Cavender’s Greek. Shake them up to make sure the potatoes are evenly coated, then put them in an air fryer at 390F for about 12-14 minutes, tossing them to turn about halfway through.

Hey Joe, I have a question! In your opinion, what is the next best thing to your evoo that we can get in a grocery store or on Amazon? Thank you so much! I do have your amazing evvo, I just save it for special occasions! 😁👍
@Cookingitalianwithjoe4 жыл бұрын
Good question! Italian Greek or Spanish. Make sure the oil is EVOO. Make sure the olives only come from the region and are not blended with other countries.

G’day Joe from down under Australia 🇦🇺, I gave this a go tonight and I did change the potatoes a little.....I sliced them and cooked them in water for about 10 minutes and then put them into our mixture. The result was amazing as I layered them in a potato scallop formation. Joe you were in our kitchen tonight and your heart and soul made this amazing mate. Thanks for sharing such a great family recipe. Well Joe thank you from your Aussie mate.......Grant ......Hey when are you shipping your oil to Australia..I would be happy to be a distribution point for you.

Joe, when I watch your video it reminds me so much of home and my family! -I make the same joke about my sexy pink shirt -My Dad and I smell EVERYTHING we cook with (although I just waft, he's more like you sticking his schnoz right in the ingredients) -I said "Oh ho ho" at the exact same time as you when you turned over the garlic shavings Great vids. Constructive criticism... zooming in camera work is a little fuzzy, like soft focus. I’d love to see the detail in your fabulous creations. Not sure how to get sharper focus as I’m not a camera person.

Explain the term “drop ship”...please.
@Cookingitalianwithjoe5 жыл бұрын
Fed ex or the USPS will leave the package at your door step. So we ship and they drop the item at your front door step. Drop Ship. Ciao Joe
@LandNfan5 жыл бұрын
Speaking as a guy who spent most of his career in the distribution business, “drop ship” usually means a seller will take your order for a piece of merchandise that they do not normally have in their physical inventory, then will place the order with their supplier to have the merchandise shipped directly to you. Their supplier bills them, they bill you. It saves time for you, reduces the seller’s capital investment in inventory and everyone is happier, except perhaps the supplier who must handle frequent small lot quantities instead of shipping large lots to the reseller less often.

Wow. I usually just delete or block peeps and comments like this but every once in a while it just builds up and I need to say something. Really. I post videos for you to watch for free with all my recipes from my family and from my trips to Italy. My camera alone is 1500 dollars to shoot the video. Computer and software is 3300. My time to shoot and edit. Cost of food. You have to listen to a 20 second ad for my olive oil. It is offensive to listen to a commercial? It is offensive that in a fair exchange, I provide something to you and for this I offer a sale for my olive oil? Really. So the radio, tv, every youtube video, google, FB, instagram, etc... all have ads and this is now offensive. Yes I have a 20 second commercial during my videos to sell my olive oil which is awesome and yes I try and make a profit in my sale of olive oil so I can make a living while bringing you a great recipe with some laughs and some feel good with family time. That makes me a begging salesman? You are welcome for 300 free videos for you to watch and pick up some great recipes. The free website to grab 300 plus free recipes. With a touch of your thumb you can get anything you want and you can skim over the 20 second olive oil commercial. Rather than thank you Joe for all the free stuff your contribution is to call me a begging salesman. Wow. A simple thank you Joe for sharing or as we were told by mom and dad, if you have nothing kind to say then stay quiet. Here are a few words you should look up. Appreciation. Gratitude. kindness, Contribution. Patience. Ciao Joe.
