Thanks Link Bending Machine for another video.🍻 05:11 so your mint missus has cute toes and likes a party in the rear. Got it.👍🏻😜🤣🤣🤣 Jokes aside, the Jolly Ranger needs stickier tyres and the body a couple of magnets higher. I've noticed with my DB since putting Rampcrap longer shocks on it kicks up more climbing so I'm gonna try the standard shocks on the front. The links in vs out would make a interesting video.

Out boards help side hill. Think of it this way. Go bench, place your hands closer and then do it farther apart. The farther it is, the better stability you have under load

What's up boys? Ok......this video was long and there's a lot to digest here. First up, this truck looks great and I I think it performed well given its compact dimensions. It does appear as though those particular tires are not optimal for your local driving conditions. My opinion on the outboard mounting of the links is as follows, greater horizontal separation of the upper link mounts at the chassis end has the effect of increasing the vehicles lateral (side to side) stability. So while it may not work well for all build layouts, it can certainly have positive effects on the vehicles handling characteristics. Oh great video too!

I have a set of Landmines on one of my rigs and they are a very inconsistent tire for me too. Sometimes they work great and sometimes they don't. I crawl on concrete and stucco so it isn't a difference in terrain, It was very interesting to see the difference with the straps on the front and without the straps on the front.
@TipsyRCАй бұрын
I'm a firm believer that if you weight is front bais properly that very small amounts of flex in the front is sufficient and focus in flex in the rear helps. I could be wrong but it's worked for me

I actually liked this run a lot. I've got to try slowing down more and chewing on the terrain. It's hard to do when your out just having fun though. The build was a great looker, and good performer. I did not like the way the links in the rear were hitting on each other. Was that due to the outside chassis mounting? I kinda think the rig would've flexed more if they didn't hit. Great video dude!
@24Yepp2 ай бұрын
I think so yeah, maybe they could have been adjusted a bit differently to prevent the hitting

@@24Yepp Yeah that’s what I’m thinking my next build will be. In your opinion what would be the best LCG carbon chassis to use?
@Karibouski2 ай бұрын
@@FYRC15for ultralight cf chassis I’d go with an athos or something similar with very angled skid, motor and trans can be mounted very low and far forward. I’d also consider either the mofo standard motor mount vs akers lcg mount. Last but not least, maybe consider a printed chassis depending on weight because you’ll likely have to place more cross members and stuff to keep rigidity. Check out texoma if you’re into full performance. Just thoughts I have, never actually tried any of these yet.
@FYRC152 ай бұрын
@@Karibouski Wow this is what I’m talking about, communication and information! Great info and Texoma is cool, however I always have to have a more realistic looking truck. I’m not into the unlimited class. Super appreciative for all the great info.

@@FYRC15 sure man, no worries ! And like I said, I never actually tried what I talked about but these are notes and ideas I gathered for future builds. Happy to share ! And yeah Texoma is really cool and makes insane parts but I also prefer a more realistic look so not exactly my thing 😌
