I have two mini-z’s. I’ve tinkered with them, pondered upon doing crazy mods, etc. Mini-Z and SCX24 are incomparable bec of the very Japanese style of engineering, but I’d say a stock mini-z can crawl as good as a stock scx24 dbolt or c10, only smaller. But once we start talking about putting in upgrades, that’s where the mini-z starts losing. There are many limitations: electronics, servo, motor, wheels, tigjt space, etc. So it’s actually a brave thing to go this far and try those mods. Like he cut up the Furitek Akashi frame, man! I’ve thought of doing that but I didn’t have the heart to do it, that piece of chassis is beautiful. I’ve explored the scx24 chassis swap too but it’s too wide for the scale. The chassis, tranny, and body mount are probably the only mini-z parts left in this build. It’s like 70% scx24. Overall, mini-z is fun, but you just can’t mod it that much and still keep it as a mini-z. Very good attempt though! 🤘🏼

If there's someone who truly knows nothing about RC cars, this hobby can be very difficult to get into. I felt the same way myself. That’s why I believe brands like INJORA contribute a lot to popularizing RC cars. Their products come with detailed explanations and precise measurements. In any case, I look forward to seeing his rig develop and hope a new version of the Joker 2 will be released.

@@김피식-k9n I'm also thankful for injora , over here it is just about the only thing i can get to upgrade my cars at a reasonable price , everything coming from the states has crazy shipping and when it gets here every thing is grabbed by customs to get another big tag

Love the idea of a community build for the guy! I am just getting into the hobby so have nothing spare but if you were to do this in the future I’d love to chip in once I amass some more parts I’m sure I’ll end up with things that are just sitting. Either way sounds like a cool idea

That looks like a controller I have for my FTX Mini outback 3.0. the rx and trans combo used in some Enduro mini crawlers; really it's intended for a small 050 or 030 motor I'd bang a brushed injora esc in it.

Id say the low power problem is due to the esc. My buddy had a rig similar acting. He changed the esc and it brought the rig to life

I think that the 180T motor is the issue. I think the higher amount of turns it has the smoother it is, but way way less torque.
