How DARE you say the early 2010s era of club pop was bad. That style of music defined my life in elementary school

Early 2010’s club pop is nostalgic for a lot of people in this current generation. However, if you break these songs down, you have to admit they’re just awful.

Super Bass is iconic. Literally everyone in my generation knows that entire first verse word for word. It’s a guaranteed smash if u put it on anywhere to get ppl signing along & having a good time. A category for me.

I could never get into it, but as someone born in '98, I will confirm that playing Super Bass at a function of people from my (and I assume yours as well) generation gets most people singing along like they're at a concert. It's like September for people born in the '60s.

Love your Adele take. 2011 is monumental for me in every way, 39 years old best year of my life. And the soundtrack didn't disappoint. TV on the radio (nine types of light, one of my top 20 albums of all time no shit), fleet foxes, my morning jacket, rubblebucket, cut copy, death cab for cutie, so many others. It was a year of extreme inspiration in my little hippy hipster zone. Even wrote a song about it that goes, there will never be a heaven like 2011
