Totally a newer fan of her. I’ve been unfamiliar but definitely had no clue the depths of lyricism and little subtle hints/Easter eggs, until the big C hit. Hearing that Vernon (one of my absolute top artists) did a song with her, I naturally (admittedly, somewhat reluctantly) went to hear it. Writing is a cathartic hobby I enjoy, but I’m shocked I never realized just how talented swift is with her writing. It’s really something to wonder and drool over. The amazing beauty that oozes from her every word is unmatched. Truly. There’s a few poets I say that about and definitely less artists in this “era”. I’ve enjoyed learning more about her as an artist, and even more as a person. Her brain works in overdrive like many of us, but there’s very few who have the ability to imagine and execute. Especially to this level. I’d say you’re one of those few. Your story is completely admirable to me and I’m an old hag that is totally irrelevant. However, I hope my pining over your own “lyricism” with which you speak and explain gives you a little pep. From this fallen tear drop to a lovely bewildering star. 🤗🤗💗💗💜💜

⁠@@theswiftologistThanks!!🥰 If anyone is curious the jacket is from ASOS, the dress is originally Oh Polly but I got second hand from Vinted after a lot of keyword searching, the shoes are Head Over Heels by Dune & the stars are from Amazon (they are meant to be iron on rhinestones but I did not trust that to hold so I used a hot glue gun), finally I got sequins from a local craft store and had help sewing them on to the bust and straps😊 Also I did bring some of those roll up flats with me to change into so I could actually jump up and down!!

Unfortunately I can't find the video (despite trying for a long time), I think it might have been deleted :-( I saw the video on instagram, but I'm 99% sure it was originally a TikTok video, but I don't have a TikTok account so I can't look for it there. :-( If I stumble across it I'll definitely let you know though!

I'm a new swiftie (though listening to Taylor since 2011), and your work (and the AMAZING podcast) is of great help for me to get to know as much as I can before I get to see the Eras tour in Paris next year ! By the way, is 33 too old to become a self-proclaimed swiftie ? 😅 I just feel so lucky to have SO MUCH to unpack in hindsight, I really am a little obsessive as I often am and Taylor gives plenty of very sensible reasons to be. My loved ones are annoyed. My companion tolerates it, likes folklore and evermore but doesn't seem to appreciate the incredible chance he has to be promised to get dragged to the Eras tour in may, with great seats, at that lol but I'm sure she'll grow on him over the next months. About that, a video idea I could suggest that I don't think you've ever done yet would be about the swifties themselves, a little analysis and roast of the various categories, how you'd sort them out, your personal experiences over the years with each of them, maybe in the spirit of a meme. I think it could be fun !

I tried really hard to think outside the box for my outfit, I ended up putting together a look based on my 3 favorite albums/Eras (Speak Now, Midnights and Reputation). Had the 13 on my hand (that was black with green snakes), a quote from Rep down my arm and purple Converse for Speak Now, my Anti Hero shirt and the album cover makeup for Midnights and snake earrings and hair clips for Reputation 🤷🏻‍♀️ I loved it and I was super comfy, it was basically shorts and a tee shirt but also tried hard to represent my top 3 albums

I had ten days to put together a look for Minneapolis N2 and had nothing in my closet that was up to the standards I wanted. I ended up recreating the opening number outfit from the 1989 tour. I already had a high necked black tank top and a paper airplane necklace. (By the way, 1989 is my favorite album simply because it’s the first one I was there for the roll out of. I came into the fandom at the end of Red/beginning of 1989.) I ordered a sequin jacket and light blue skirt off of Amazon and some polaroid camera earrings off of Etsy. I wore converse I already owned because I didn’t want to kill my feet, and I didn’t see anyone else with the same outfit. I had a lot of face glitter as well. I know it was a fairly easy one to do, but I was living my best 1989 stan life.😂 I got a handful of compliments on it as well, which is always nice.

I'm just now realizing that my old prom dress is lowkey giving Enchanted, so when the Eras movie comes out I may as well just wear that (sorry, as much as I'd love to see the queen perform live since she is coming to my state in 2024, there is no way in hell I'd be up that late, plus I don't want to end up in debt). But if Enchanted is too overdone, 3 other looks I desperately want to see but haven't yet are the red medieval Love Story dress from the Fearless tour, the yellow dress from the Lover MV, and the kind of Dorothy-inspired look from Karma.

One of my favorites I saw was the mirrorball dress Taylor wore to an awards show - featured in miss Americana. A couple people at my show were wearing that and looked amazing.
